A Well Deserved Break

Summary: With Sucrose’s worries growing larger and larger seeing Albedo’s workaholic habits take over him, she decides to ask Cavalry Captain Kaeya for assistance in this matter. With much convincing, Kaeya succeeds in getting Albedo out of his office and brings the alchemist around Mondstadt for some fresh air. A break every once in a while can’t hurt anyone, right?

A/N; WOW this is a long fic! I really enjoy writing these two out OKAY?? I hope they aren’t OOC, I just really liked the ideas I had in mind and went with them. Hope you enjoy it too!

After finishing up the last of his paperwork, Kaeya had decided to go out on a stroll around the Headquarters of the Knights of Favonius. He went over to the library, greeting Lisa and others around. He quite enjoyed walking around with no aim in mind after work. It was much more relaxing than sitting around going through dozens and dozens of documents Jean had given him.

Kaeya finished his round in the library and continued his stride in full pace. As he made his way down the hall, he noticed Sucrose, pacing back and forth. This wasn’t an unusual sight, she was always one to worry often. Nevertheless, he decided to approach her from behind to see how she’d react.

“GAH!” Sucrose yelled out as soon as Kaeya placed a hand on her shoulder, clearly startling him as well, “Oh, it’s just you, Sir Kaeya,” She adjusted her glasses and looked away from the taller man.

“Now, now, you can drop the formalities, Sucrose. You’re always so caught up with them, let loose every once in a while,” Kaeya said, stepping back from Sucrose. Her gaze traced its way back to the floor, as she fiddled with her hands. She didn’t seem too happy, particularly stressed out. Her saddened expression worried him, “Is everything alright?”

“Ah, well…” Sucrose thought for a moment, before her eyes lit up in excitement, “Actually, you’re the right person I need right now!”

An Unexpected Painting Session

Summary: After always seeing the Chief Alchemist paint and sketch and paint some more, Kaeya decides to give it a try. Turns out it takes a lot more skill than meets the eye to reproduce something as beautiful as one of Albedo’s paintings.

A/N; FINALLY something that isn’t Thanzag! Here’s my first Genshin Impact work! I’ve been super into Genshin lately, but haven’t written anything until now. Enjoy!

As the cool air of Dragonspine grazes Albedo’s fingers, he drew yet another stroke across his canvas, almost finishing his piece. He took a step back, admiring his work in progress from afar. He loved painting the various landscapes Dragonspine had to offer. Every area he would pick on this mountain to create a new piece offered him a new look on his surroundings. He never got bored of it, unlike other topics of research he has lost interest in long ago.

He loved coming up to Dragonspine. He didn’t mind the cold as much as any adventurer would. He found it quite soothing, in fact. The mysteries the mountain held also drew him in, helping him find many new things to investigate. His lust for learning would never be satisfied, the complexity of these cold summits were proof of that. 

Yet, there was another cold and mystifying subject that had enticed him just as much as Dragonspine. 

Albedo paced back to his canvas, satisfied with what he’s produced so far. As he continued filling in the snowy peaks in the landscape ahead of him, he thought of said subject. A subject as enticing as the peculiar wonders of Dragonspine seems impossible to think of, yet it stuck to Albedo's mind. The mystery behind a certain Cryo user who loves to go around teasing and flirting with everyone he encounters on his way.

A Book to Cure Boredom

Summary: The power goes out and Zagreus is dying of boredom. Maybe Thanatos can help keep him busy?

A/N; Just a lil’ something I thought up :DD I have a lot of different Roommates!AU Thanzag prompts,, so maybe I’ll write those out in the future!!

“GAME!”

Zagreus leaned back into the couch, sighing heavily as the television screen flashed to his character being in first place. Thanatos looked over at the TV, then back at Zagreus, and smiled softly.

“Won again?” He asked, to which Zagreus flashed a toothy grin.

“You know it!” Zagreus responded, sitting up straight and skipping through the stats of his game. He had been playing Smash for god knows how long, as Thanatos calmly read a book right by his side. He didn’t particularly enjoy playing games, but didn’t mind watching Zagreus do so from time to time. 

“Well, isn’t that nice,” Thanatos said, going back to his book. Zagreus was used to this kind of commentary, but still wanted to ask the same question every time he played a game.

“Would you like to try? It isn’t that hard! I’ll make sure to go easy on you… Somewhat,” Zagreus asked, a grin on his face.

“I’m fine just watching, thanks,” Thanatos said, flipping to the next page of his book seeming as uninterested as ever.

Valentine’s Morning

Summary: Zagreus wakes up earlier than Thanatos on Valentine’s morning and wow, Thanatos is pretty.

A/N; Happy Valentine’s day! I wrote this quick little Thanzag piece for Valentine’s because I have nothing better to do :,D. Hope you enjoy!

The little bit of sunlight filtering through the curtains woke Zagreus up as usual. He opened his eyes slowly, still feeling half-asleep. He turned over to tuck himself back into bed, only to be met by another person's body. He blinked a few times to force himself awake, only to see Thanatos’ face.

He was still feeling sleepy, but smiled at Thanatos. The other boy was still asleep, his hair going over his closed eyes. Zagreus gently moved a few strands of hair out of the way to get a better look at Thanatos' peaceful face. He was breathing lightly, still fast asleep despite Zagreus’ movements. Thanatos wasn’t the heaviest sleeper, so it was a surprise to still see him asleep. Zagreus gently kissed him on the forehead before turning away and getting out of bed.

Zagreus loved getting up early and taking in the fresh morning sunlight. He’d even go out of his way to open the curtains every morning. On some days he’d go as far as going on morning jogs and things of the like.

Let’s just say, Zagreus is one hell of a morning person.

And so, he went ahead and opened the curtains in their bedroom, the sunlight now lighting up the entire room.

He stood there for a moment, now feeling nice and refreshed. He walked over to the bedside table quietly and turned on his phone. He notably checked the date and felt some sort of importance to it.

The Hunt For The Prince

A/N; Heya!! This is the first chapter to a prompt I’ve wanted to write for forever! I gotta say, fantasy AUs are always the best, so why not make it long? Minor Hades spoilers, specifically about Zagreus’ mother.

Summary: Prince Zagreus, the son of King Hades finds a letter regarding his mother and goes off on a journey to seek her out. His father, enraged by this, sends off Thanatos, a trained assassin, to fetch him. Little does he know, Thanatos may or may not want to find out about Persephone as well.

Zagreus slicked his hair back when he was finally away from his home, hiding behind a tree. He tried to look back to find the castle, but it only seemed like a distant memory. A bittersweet memory he’d say.

He wasn’t supposed to be out here, this far out from the castle, his kingdom. Yet here he was, and he did not regret going against the rules one bit. He would even say he felt relieved, like a huge weight was pulled off his shoulders after sitting there for years. Finally being away from his overbearing father, Hades, and starting a new chapter in his life; the quest for his mother.

Earlier that day, Zagreus had snuck into his father’s bedroom and found a letter regarding the whereabouts of his mother. He knew he had to look for her as soon as he could. He’d gone on for too long wondering where she could have been all these years and now he finally had a vague idea. She was still out there, alive and well, but his father never said anything about her for reasons unknown to him. Zagreus had snuck out of castle grounds for brief moments, but now was the time for him to go on a full out journey.

Summary; Sett doesn’t stop pushing himself too hard during escape attempts and Aphelios has had enough. Maybe this time he could give him some extra luck.

“LET ME AT ‘EM!”

Sett flashed a wild smile and yelled, his voice echoing all throughout Asphodel. He had just gotten there moments ago, yet he was already blowing through many of the chambers. Going head first into battle, letting his fists run wild, he managed to get pretty far within minutes. Things were looking good.

Well, for the most part good.

Sett was covered in blood, definitely his own. Perhaps it was the rush of adrenaline, but he didn’t seem to notice the insane amount of wounds he had all over his body. His fists were covered in drying blood, but he still didn’t seem to care. He stretched a little before moving onto the next chamber. 

As he entered the next chamber, he noticed a lack of enemies. Before he could say anything, a bright light appeared in his sight, accompanied by a bell ringing. He knew exactly who was coming, grinning at the thought.

Signs of Attraction

A/N; This is a oneshot version of a longer Settphel fic I’m planning on writing. I really do love writing quick and sweet pieces, but I loved this concept so much that I’m turning it into something longer. We’ll see if I ever even go through with that idea (99.99% sure I will).

Aphelios never liked to speak.

Sure, he’d talk to his sister, Alune, when they were completely alone, but otherwise he wouldn’t utter a word. He picked up on sign language to compensate when he was really young, Alune’s idea. This led a lot of people to believe that he was deaf, the sign language really didn’t help his case. A lot of people including his closest friend, Sett.

Aphelios never bothered to talk to Sett either. Part of him didn’t really care if he also thought he was deaf, it didn’t change anything either way. Things were complicated when they first met, but eventually they understood each other.

“Sorry, what now? Think you could speak up or somethin’?” Sett asked in complete confusion. They first met in one of their college classes, Aphelios couldn’t remember which. He was kind of scared of Sett to be fair. Having a title of ''Beast-Man-Bastard'' wasn't very friendly. He had tried signing what he wanted to say, but Sett didn’t understand any of it. He quickly reached down into his bag, pulling out a notebook and pen and writing down what he wanted to say.

Baking Disaster

Summary: Zagreus decides to fill in for the baker at the café he works at. Little does he know, baking isn’t such a simple job.

A/N; Did you know that I’m a slut for coffee shop AUs? Well here you go!

The sweet smell of coffee and pastries filled the air as Zagreus walked into the café. It was a refreshing smell, something to look forward to on mornings like these.

It was much warmer inside compared to the cool air of the morning, Zagreus was feeling a bit chilly. He rubbed his hands together in an attempt to warm them up and made his way behind the counter. Where he saw a fast asleep Hypnos resting his head right next to the cash register. 

“Hypnos, wake up. What if customers saw you like this?” Zagreus asked softly as he shook Hypnos awake. The boy jumped up, rubbing his eyes wildly.

“I’m up! I’m up!” Hypnos said, stretching his arms out, “I was just resting my eyes. Yup. Just resting my eyes for the long day ahead.”
