Wizard War is a "tradingless" card battling game - it can be played with any two decks of playing cards, as long as you have a copy of the rules handy! But those who want to play Wizard War with its "official" deck can now order a copy of the zine, along with a unique deck of pixel art playing cards designed by Wyngspan Laboratories artist Ross Holmes, featuring the madcap mages of Wizard War's world as its court cards.

Wizard War was a surprise hit when we first crowdfunded it during ZineQuest 4, and with Kickstarter fulfillment wrapping up, we are thrilled to offer our remaining stock to non-backers.

the thing about historical fiction where the characters have extremely modern attitudes to everything and appear to have psychic access to the most up to date tumblr discourse in the year of the book’s publication is like. why are you even writing historical fiction if you aren’t interested in what people thought and felt and believed in the specific social context of that time and place

if you have contempt for people in the past don’t write about them! write a modern story set at a costume party or a historical reenactment or something lol
