@dimiclaudeblaigan asked for a tutorial on how to begin drawing. Good news! If you can draw a funky looking stick man, you have already started!

I think that stick people are a great starting point for artists because of the things you can learn from them that will be important later on.

If you are able to draw a circle and a couple of lines, you can easily put together a stick person.

A stick person is a very minimal artistic representation of a real life person. It is simple yet recognizable, and is widely used in art, media, and signage.

But what can a stick person teach us about drawing people that look more like… well, people? Lets have a look!

“Dude is gender neutral” “girl is gender neutral” if I have to hear this one more time because No, the fuck it ain’t. If I said “there was a dude in a purple hat” would a woman come to your mind? “Well it’s not used in that way” You don’t get to decide what connotations a word has. If you say “But I’m using it in a different way” in response to someone saying it makes them uncomfortable you’re ignoring the problem. You don’t need to stop using it altogether just be aware of what a word actually means outside your personal definition

i gotta say i agree that exposing children to algorithmic content feeds is going to make them grow up with one billion new kinds of mental illnesses and it's a serious societal problem that urgently needs addressing but it makes me v. v. v. uneasy when i see posts going around that identify this issue and come to the conclusion 'this is why it's important for parents to know what their kid is doing online' and uh girls there are a lot of kids out there who would be dead if their parents knew what they were doing online
