I was born in the wrong decade. My heart is all 80’s baby

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I hope they keep Annabeth’s eyes and hair dark. Black girls deserve to be able to be portrayed onscreen as magical without having any of their features altered to look more white. The “magical Black person with light eyes/hair” is so played out.

Annabeth was blonde in the books to overturn the stereotype of dumb blondes. Black girls (especially Black girls with neurodivergencies/learning disabilities like dyslexia and ADHD) are shown as smart and capable onscreen significantly less than blonde girls. I’m so happy that they’ll now get to see themselves shown as clever and special and important.

If anyone has any issues with Black Annabeth, they can get over it.

Random Genderfluid Thing #794

Since it’s Valentine’s Day, I want to remind all genderfluid folks that you are worthy of love, of relationships, of being found desirable. I know I sometimes struggle with that because I can feel unwanted as a man and a woman but it’s not true. You deserve it.

I wish there was more rep for Gendefluid folks like me who don't switch between binary boy and girl

Yall are super valid but I just wish I saw more talk about people who have a fluid gender that isn't really boy or girl and more so fluid between masculine, neutral, and feminine genders(?)

Hard to explain lmao

gender envy and calling ppl gender was like just a quirky little injoke between trans zoomers on the internet it was never meant to be this super serious clinical term or trans exclusive experience… “dont call ppl gender if ur cis” do whatever u want its not even a real thing oh my fucking god

regardless how can “wow im envious of their specific gender presentation and how theyre perceived by others gender wise” possibly be a trans exclusive experience. ? answer quickly

I’ll go one further: Can we normalize cis people making ‘that’s my gender’ jokes? Maybe if they learn to take it a little less fucking seriously they’ll start to recognize how ridiculous it is to try to codify every human experience into a gender binary.

cis people defining their gender for themselves is actually something i seriously encourage. like,,, go on, friend, you don’t have to be trans to enjoy your gender the way that we enjoy ours. deconstructing shitty systems starts by hitting at the base of the tower.

Gender is for everybody that wants it! And if you don’t want it, don’t feel pressured to take it.

To me that’s what I think gender should be.

So everybody can be happy

Isn’t that what we all want?
