@chicken-mc-nuggets

hi! i’m chicken (you can also call me bunny), and i make art and reblog the same photo of a creature 10 times in a row. they/them pronouns plz, gender is lame. i accept constructive criticism on my art, i wanna improve as fast as i can

pet commissions!

current commission status: ow my hand hurts! they’ll be open in a few days when my hand stops hurting, feel free to message me to reserve a spot

hey there! i’m chicken mcnuggets, and i want to draw your pets! i do 3 types of commissions right now:

1. oil pastels

these are on 8.5 by 11.5 inch paper, and i’ll mail your portrait to you! i can only draw 1 portrait on each piece of paper since my pastels are big and chunky, so no fullbodies or multiple pets together.

2. digital painting

these are also $100 per animal, and i can draw as many animals together as you want! let me know if you want me to use my sparkly or soft brush :>

3. silly cartoons!

neither of my favorite examples of this style are real animals but i do cartoons too! they’re $25 with no shading/rendering like the first creature and $40 if you want a fully rendered creature like the last guy.

generally i agree with the sentiment of "if you don't like the canon version of a character then you just don't like the character" but when i take bland soulless unwilling to take any risks perfectly made up hair blow dried and styled airbrushed smooth character designs and make them less conventionally attractive and more weird and offputting in both personality and looks that's not me being a hater that's me doing them a favor

imo there is nothing more unnatractive than perfection at the expense of any kind of personality or difference from the norm. like that's honestly more grotesque than any intentional body horror to me.

i was talking with a friend in her mid 20s on discord about this and i realized it might be worth saying out loud but as an older transfem one of the biggest societal changes i have seen in my lifetime has been not necessarily the lessening of socially acceptable homophobia and transphobia but the increase of love for us

like in some ways there is less transphobia and homophobia sure, but in other ways there's more and i sorta see it as a conservation of energy type deal like less ppl have that kind of hate in them but the people who do have more of it

they still kill us when we're vulnerable obvs but now we don't let comedians make jokes about our deaths without pushback and social cost

that image of the sf gay mens choir showing how many of them died to aids haunts me and i can't help but think that similarly, there's a reason there's not many transfems my age who have been transitioning since their teens or 20s and it's because a lot of us are dead from violence or self harm. like i cannot believe how much more blasé the average cis person is about a trans person now, and if you are reading this and thinking wow she is full of shit it's still bad etc i want you to know it used to be so much worse

most of my peer group now is dead or they didn't start transition until later in life like me and are now being positioned as elders

so yeah if you've ever raised the social cost or took a visible stand for us thank you for sewing that into our quilt

parents are so crazy because they can say the most fucked up shit to you when your brain is forming and it sets the tone for your whole adult mind set and then they forget about it the next day

there are three types of pigeon breeds: "just your average french fry thief," "a little weird but nothing to write home about," and "what the fuck"

all images from the american pigeon museum's breed gallery

normal dude. just loitering around the city. kinda funky, interesting colorway, but feral pigeons have plenty of variety. not really of any particular note, all things considered

u know, that one’s a bit of an oddity right there. in the realm of weird, yeah, but i can still connect point A to point Z

what the fuck. no, seriously, what the fuck is this. how did you get to this morphology via selective breeding. what led you to choose to continue this at each and every step. what.

bonus: why they ourple

do you ever think about this quote by mary lambert because i think about it all the time

shout out to people who's family isnt entirely bad or entirely good, but something in between and you dont know how to feel about them. you feel angry but you also feel guilty, because you know they genuinely love and care about you, but sometimes they show it in a way you know its not okay. your feelings are valid, your anger and sadness and grief are valid, and you dont have to prove this to no one. bigger shout out to those with memory issues who know something isnt right but can't recall all of the bad events, only the feelings, which only increases the guilt.
