You know I like how the country was handled in ISAT. It was left completely a mystery from start to finish. You only ever know a few things about its existence: 1) The unique accent 2) The religion 3) 3 individuals who originated from the country 4) its language We essentially know nothing else about it. Its simply forgotten even to the players. The biggest mystery I will never get an answer for it is why it was wished to be forgotten. It would have been nice for it to be a diary entry or simply a note written out of context.

Did they regret it? Are they haunted by the consequences? Was burning the memory of country from everyone was what they wanted? There's no hint of it.

Who knows...its gone. broken. fragmented in everyone's mind and the pain of remembering forces them to ignore and eventually forget it. You learn pieces, but the information given is hard to complete the puzzle. You found 10 puzzle pieces, but missing 990 more.

#this is what gets me tho#I wanna know this too very badly XD#if wish craft was well known on the island one would imagine some sort of sage guard for this situation (unless a tragedy of this magnitude#wasn’t considered possible?)#I can’t help but think it must’ve been some sort of monkeys paw situation#because of the other (proper) wishes we see in game#Siffrins wish manifests as a fucked up timeloop#Loop wished to be helped and essentially had to give up on everything to be saved… by another version of themself#and the King’s wish manifests as temporally freezing an entire country#so I wonder what sort of (possibly well intentioned??) wish would make everyone forget an entire island#it just speaks of potential extra angst and I wannnnaaa knoooowww
