🤍 BIMBOHOOD OF STEEL 🤍
Treating Fallout Tumblr as if it’s Stan Twitter
any pronouns, Aus, Grown

I’ve been on Tumblr for almost like a year now, and one thing I’ve noticed is that Tumblr and TikTok are like the exact same only here is a much slower pace. One thing they have in common is that some people on there are just chronically online. Any time I get a reply about someone’s headcannons or opinions not lining up with mine in a passive aggressive way on either app I die a little inside

The pandemic probably had a big role in that but I hope y’all can recover with time

Fo4 Gender/Sexualities

Tell me I want headcanons now! Pronouns/Neopronouns too!

Imma give this a go babes you don’t have to agree, and sorry it’s a bit boring cause I hc like all of em bi

Cait - Bisexual leaning men ever so slightly, she/her cis (she reminds me of those Chav girls in Britain)

Curie - Pansexual, she/they/ze transgender(idk she’s somehow trans)

Danse - Bisexual leaning women heavily, he/him cis (he’s probably the type to be like “I’m straight but if I felt that connection to another man I’d pursue it”)

Deacon - Pansexual, he/she/they genderfluid HELLO?? I SAID WHAT NEEDED TO BE SAID??

Gage - Bisexual w no pref., he/they/it

Hancock - Bisexual w fluid pref., any pronouns w no gender label (By fluid preference I mean he probably leans women one day and men the next)

MacCready - Bisexual leaning women, he/they cisgender (he’s not giving me super fruity… love seeing him paired w men tho cause it’s fucking adorable sorry)

Nick Valentine - Asexual/Biromantic leaning women, he/they greygender (I don’t imagine pronouns would be super important to him)

Old Longfellow - this mf is heterosexual in my head…

Piper - Bisexual leaning women HEAVILY, she/they bigender (she’s very fruity)

Preston - Bisexual leaning men, he/they genderqueer (this mf is so fruity too)

X6-88 - Asexual/Aromantic, he/they/it/xe agender (do not perceive him)

I was thinking about it and,, there's no way Goodneighbor was handled so poorly not on purpose. So, welcome to my unhinged rant about a fictional settlement that I really like.

First of all, most companions remark of Goodneighbor being full of trash and smelling like piss. Now, this makes ~no sense~. Goodneighbor is clearly a tight nit community, and as Preston said, " blah blah when you give people a place to protect they will blah blah blah", and this would be especially true here since they all call goodneighbor home. Now the piss comment truLy makes no sense because they have multiple toilets? Every major spot has them, and so does the outside (in the front and back).

Now my second complaint, no running water. Fucking how. This was a town, they're bound to have some sort of water system connected to the harbor. Its literally right there. Also we all know Hancock is a real fucking stickler for baths, even if water wasnt already available, it would probably be his first thing to attend to.

Thirdly, the Rexford. This place looks like shit even with the cleaners. Get over the chem trades you fucking idiots and make a cafe. Improve your rooms while you're at it, and fix. The. Fucking. Elevator. Also, get rid of that asshole who's at the desk in the back. A) he works for the institute, and B) he's dragging yall down MASSIVELY by being stuck in the past. Make Clair the official owner as well because she's cool and favoritism is a bitch.

The memory den. Please dear fuck advertise yourselves more. Put up signs on the outside of the wall! Vandalize diamond city! Go crazy! More people at the den = more at the bar = more at the hotel = more at the new cafe I made up. Boom, business.

I cant think of anything else rn and I womt proofread this. Feel free to complain along because I'm bored and want to talk shit about how much they botChed goodneighbor. ItssomuchbetterthenDCpleasebro

Goodneighbor reminds me of Sydney in Australia, a total shithole that always smells like piss despite having multiple toilets. Place needs to be way more crowded tho, bar needs to be noisy, and maybe have like one tap with running water that everyone shares like omg

Goodneighbor was never meant to be “good”, it has a reputation as being a borderline slum and I really love the concept of the place being run so poorly, but a lotta things really don’t add up and should be fixed. Bethesda really gave up on Goodneighbor

why does maxson carry around that huge minigun. do you think he's compensating for something

According to me, Arthur IS compensating… for his lack of self-love and the fake confidence he pretends 👀

And Nate, well, he very (too much) confident with himself 👀

Seeing this thread feels like stumbling on an NPC random encounter

Okay tell me straight up is the zombie dude from fallout 4 that everyone wants to bang ACTUALLY john hancock the founding father or is that just his name because I have some concerns

it’s just his name

Oh thank god

he stole the real hancock’s clothes

oh my god

I had this quick revelation whilst playing FO4:

So once upon a time I personally had a bit of a theory that Hancock might be a cannibal. Known or unknown, willingly or not. I never made a post about it per say, but there’s a lot of hints that would suggest he is:

First, there’s his Endurance perk, which is at 8, the Cannibal perk. Now that could be brushed off because he’s a ghoul, and ghouls can basically eat anything, but that doesn’t explain why Nick and Danse “have” the Cannibal perk, when both being synths could’ve had Solar Powdered instead. And Nick doesn’t even need to eat anyways, so why the hell does he have it in the first place? Because most companion stats in regards to the perk level actually align with their personalities.

Then you have the fact that when you commit cannibalism, his affinity doesn’t change. He’s not bothered by it, while most companions are, because his philosophy is that you need to do what you have to in order to survive, right?

We also have the fact that he’s the only companion that likes eating Longneck Lukowski’s canned meat, which afterwards we find out it had traces of ghoul meat in it the entire time.

Obviously, we all know the ghoul joke, right? Which is, yet again, a joke about cannibalism. Ghoul walks into a bar, all that stuff. Which is yeah, ha ha funny ghouls eat people because ferals, but there’s actually a SECOND cannibalism “joke” he makes which is right after defeating an enemy: “All right, let’s get eatin’. Kidding, kidding…”. The difference between these two lines? In the companion dialogue, the first one has in brackets “Telling a joke/Amused” (which refers to how the line should be read along with the faceanim the character has with it), but the second one? It just states “Defeated an enemy in combat/Neutral”. You’d uhh, think that if it were more joke-like the faceanim would’ve been something like the amused one as well, but no. And as any writer knows, ellipses (those three dots “…”) are always VERY telling…

But the quote of his that made me really think about it as I was playing at such early hours, was this one from when I went back to Vault 111: “People in these Vaults probably never had to kill anyone to score a day’s meal. What kind of life is that?” (Comes under the “Quesion” faceanim, which would state it’s a genuine question from him). This quote always bothered me, because you can’t gurantee that everyone you kill in the wasteland is going to have food on them, let alone enough to last the entire day. And that’s when it hit me:

What if he’s not talking about what they’ve got on them, but he’s referring to them their selves. What if in order to get any food at all, he had to actually kill someone for what they literally had on them? I mean, the guy likes killing. There’s literally a line in-game where he PLEADS with you to kill someone. (“Come on, just kill ‘em. Live a little.”) He vague about who he’s killing as well. “Anyone” could refer to, well, literally anyone. This line could easily imply that, in the case he DID kill someone to eat them, he could’ve just as easily killed any random person out of desperation.

Also, during writing this I remembered the times I went through as much companion dialogue as I could to write about their personal interests, the first topic being what their favourite food was (which I have a lot of stuff on my pc so I ended up making the list a few times on different occasions) and surprise surprise, out of ALL of the companions, Hancock’s the one who talks about food and eating the most. I kid you not. Whether it’s in battle (“Radstag stew coming up!”), or he’s just bringing up something in general. You go to the Fallout wikia and look in Hancock’s dialogue files, you’ll see exactly what I mean. You know what kind of people in the Fallout universe are prone to talking about food and eating a lot? Cannibals.

So with all that said, yes. I do indeed think Hancock is a cannibal. I mean, it’s literally in his special stats for crying out loud. Strictly? Definitely not. Do I think he does it because he likes it? No. I think it’s one of those “you do what you need to in order to survive” situations.

MORE NEWS ON FALLOUT TV SHOW!!!

There’s a little more information now on the Fallout tv show:

Screenwriter and Producer Lisa Joy says she is “very, very excited” about the Fallout series and describes it as “it’s just a gonzo, crazy, funny, adventure, and mindfuck like none you’ve ever seen before. It’s pretty cool.”

It’s described as “gonzo” several times throughout these links.

“What’s great about Fallout is that even though it’s a franchise, it’s such an open world that you’ll be able to tell any kind of story that you want. What kind of stories can we expect from your Fallout?”

“We’re producing it for these two brilliant writers and the world that they are making is so gonzo and so fucking crazy. It’s just ridiculously baller and I can’t wait. It’s totally irreverent and mad and humorous and just insane. It’s just insane.”

It’s confirmed that work on the Fallout series is currently underway :)

I also came across a rumour on the Fallout 4 reddit that Stephen Russell will be voice acting in the show as well, but I haven’t really come across any links suggesting so, so that is just a rumour, but could be true, considering how many times he’s came back to voice a character throughout the games.
