I’m only a few hours in but FF16 feels like a legit ff game, and the combat is actually fun. It’s a perfect course correction from 15’s awful mechanics. So thankful that magic is not “friendly fire” like it was in 15. I’ve also pet Torgal so many times. And all the story threads feel like a good mythical fantasy. It is interesting to see the devs recognize that the fans of the original games are all in the 40’s or older and have taken a much more “mature” tone to the game. I’m so tempted to use the charm to automate Torgal, I’m tired of wasting potions thinking I’m on Torgal’s menu. But I also would not like to use any of the easy mode options they’ve supplied.
