Two months after their wedding, Michael's wife dies in a tragic accident. Suddenly alone, he struggles to get through his new existence without her, until a panicked Lord Brutus comes to him with a shocking truth:

So, I’m assuming that most players (like me) thought that you *had* to pass the “channeling the weave” scene with Gale in order to begin his romance. Makes sense, right? Gale is a learned scholar, he tells you magic is his life, so it’s understandable that even he might hesitate to romance you if you are unable to follow his simple instructions and share a moment with him.
…but nope! Nope. Of course Gale is so wonderful that even if you fail the scene, he’s still down bad for you, and to top it off? His response is one of the sweetest lines in the whole damn game.

Don’t let the small stuff get in the way of telling your story. Don’t worry about “Will people like it?” or “I’m using ‘said’ too many times” or “Is this cliche?”
Tell your story to the best of your abilities. That’s all you can do right now.
When you’re done with that one, tell another story. And another.
The small stuff doesn’t hold a candle to your story. Editing can clean up the technical aspects.
But the craft of telling a good story is a lifelong pursuit that you will always be adapting and experimenting with and sharpening. So don’t sweat the small stuff and enjoy the process!

Hey everybody- I’ve been told I’m at my best when I’m “hysterically blunt”, so I’m just going to go for it. My wonderful fiancé, @maxmartelliart, is in the hospital with a brain tumor/cystic mass/unidentified object. Sadly, they refuse to let us take it home and put it in a jar. Yes, of course we asked. Things aren’t going great, but we’re hopeful it can be removed successfully and that he’ll be just fine. And that he can soon be rescued from hospital food. (Ask me anything about the signature bran muffin- personally I think it’s weird to tout a bran muffin as the signature dish of any dining establishment, but hey.) This is going to be a multiple week ordeal, so my posting may be a bit spotty for a bit as we figure things out. If you’ve been staring at a blank space on your wall and thinking “wow this needs a Bast print or a Frankenstein monster,” then please take this opportunity to wander over to www.Etsy.com/shop/maxmartelliart or www.Etsy.com/shop/ameluria to fulfill that need. (Max muttered “hospital bills” to me this morning and suggested we remind people that we sell art.) Usually I’m more subtle with my salesmanship, but this is kind of a desperate situation, and I’m less subtle when others are involved and I’m worried. I hear there’s some kind of Etsy strike happening soon- unfortunately it’s my only income stream and we’re dealing with major brain surgery and hospital bills in America, so while I support those taking part, I cannot. Now, if you’d like to buy something from us directly and avoid Etsy on principle, that’s totally fine, just let us know. Max ALSO has a Patreon, Www.patreon.com/maxmartelliart , and it’s a delight. Thank you everybody for being here and supporting what I do- following and liking and commenting may seem like small actions, but they’re not. If you all hadn’t shown interest in my work, I’d have never tried to do this professionally and gotten to sample the odd and joyful life of a full time artist. Max would also like to do the same one day, so we need him to get better so he too can follow his dreams. Also get married. We’d like to get married this summer as planned, with a lot of chocolate chips. Thank you.

There ARE people in this world who WILL support you and your writing. They will love your stories and look forward to updates/new releases!
You do not have to earn your right to be a writer.
You do not have to convince the haters and the doubters that you are a writer.
You have nothing to prove.
All you have to do is write.
And if the people around you aren’t encouraging your writing, then keep writing and keep seeking out people who lift you up and you can lift up in return.
