Orion!!!

She’s a runaway princess, space pirate, badass extraordinaire! They’re lively, chaotic, and make a living through various freelance odd jobs including professional thievery and body guarding for hire. Upon escaping her home planet, she got a chance to form her own identity while hiding away on Earth. It’s definitely not safe for her to return home, but she hopes that one day, against all odds, it will be, so she can show Jam around, because she knows she would love it there.

Jam!!! My main characters coming in last for this round cuz they’re special.

Field biology is both Jam’s greatest passion and her most harrowing fear. She has a morbid curious about the unknown and wants to learn about everything the universe has to throw at her. She’s gentle, understanding, and full of many many many thoughts all of the time. She tends to mutter to herself out loud a lot. She’s also autistic! And has depression…and is a repressed lesbian with some mild internalized homophobia……..but she works through that!

And tonight I introduce a smug bastard: Zeke.

He’s Ae’s big brother and he’s a traveling know-it-all salesman with a penchant for potions and proving how much cooler and smarter he is than all of you. Absolutely the type of person to say “uh, it’s actually ‘whom’.” Dw, Aelyn humbles him by wrestling with him. They’re wrestle-y siblings. During his time on earth, he was often off traveling for ingredients for his elixirs, exploring the planet and such, but as they all got older, he started traveling to other planets some more.

(Yes I’m posting her right away, do you rlly expect me to wait to post lovelies?)

Theaaaaa,,,she’s a mad scientist with a dark secret who can speak with ghosts and wants to form a ghost army to fight her enemies,,,but most ghosts she meets are just chill, friendly ppl tryna remember their past lives so they can get their unfinished business done, so they’re just amused by her and hang around cuz not many other ppl acknowledge them.

Ulysses💕 Been doing some swapping around of roles of characters I had been planning and they are Jam’s co-captain (who was originally Ellian, but I had different plans in store for them), the exasperated one who gets the crew to shut the fuck up when Jam is trying to speak hfdhhf

Also her cane’s compartment has a seemingly endless supply of throwing knives 😌

Leyton! He’s an introverted mechanic who just kinda wants to do his thing and go home. Does not want to be perceived. He doesn’t hate people—though he’s not immune to the curse of Bothersome People—they just put him on edge (he’s afraid everyone secretly hates him) but this sometimes comes off as him being rude for those who don’t know him very well. Those who are close to him know that he’s actually quite attentive to people and gives great advice. Thabel is his best friend and he likes to listen to him talk while he’s working. If not for Thabel dragging him out and about, he’d probably just go through the same routine of work and home every day.

Thabel!!! He’s so good and I adore him hfhfhf

He’s a sweet, silly dude who plays the lute. He has four little sisters who all swarm him while his older sibling watches him join in their pretend games. He’s also in a band that breaks up so often that whenever they do, he just says, “Alright, see ya next week!” He plays his lute and switches on and off of lead singing with another bandmate. An entertaining extrovert, Thabel likes to put smiles on people’s faces, whether with bad jokes, music, or a combination of the two. He’s been known to suddenly start playing ballads to narrate mundane tasks his friends are doing (“aaaand he’s picking up the wrench, buh nuh buh buh! And he looks kind of annoyed, buh nuh buh buh! But deep deep down he looooves meeee-”). This all doesn’t go without his crippling fear of loneliness as a result of growing up being told he’s ‘too much’ (neurodivergent-coded).

I’ve only had Thabel for about a week but if anything happened to him I would kill everyone in this room and then myself. /j

Aelyn, though by first impression she can appear intimidating, is a big ol sweetheart. She will adopt any stranger in for a hearty noogie and a chat. She is energetic and affectionate, both in terms of hugs and play wrestling you into a headlock. She likes to hang out in pubs because she usually finds the most interesting people to talk to there—and while she never exactly starts bar fights, she is absolutely not opposed to joining in for fun. Sometimes she carries too much on her shoulders, thinks she has to be tough enough to protect every single one of her friends, and if faced with the decision to save one over another, she would spontaneously combust trying to save both. Really needs to learn to lean on others a little more and that not everything comes down to her.
