Part Two “Cough”

Interviewer corrects him & looks scared

Jake Tapper reels back like he thinks Joe Biden is gonna sneak into his house in the middle of the night and cough on his face.

The original tumblr discourse surrounding pansexuality was whether the word pansexual was less transphobic than bisexual, and therefore should replace the word bisexual. There were arguments, which I absolutely partook in, about how criticising the “goodness” of bisexuality was a very old excuse for biphobia, and this seemed more or less to be perpetuating traditional biphobia. In the end we just decided that bisexuals and pansexuals are two completely separate sexual orientations, and various fairly random reasons are given for the distinction which generally tend to be inconsistent except that they always come back to attraction to trans people. It’s wild to think back on how discourse evolves and whether or not it was productive. In hindsight, it seems plausible that we settled on the words as separate sexual orientations, not because it was possible to prove that they were, but because it ended an argument.

And I remember there was a period of time before we acknowledged the etymological fallacy of obsessing over latin prefixes, when we would desperately try to find an alternative meaning for the prefix. So it would be “both my gender and other genders”, and that sort of thing. Which was a total waste of time, and honestly probably stuck this wedge in reinforcing the separatism. Generally at the time no one stopped to just say, “Wait, but do bisexuals date and love trans people? Yes? Then what’s the problem?” We’ve fractured a huge oppressed minority based on 2 to 3 letters of the alphabet.

Transitioning on the Job

I don't really see much discussion of how much hard transitioning is at the start of a career. If you are in high school/college when you start going by a new name/on hormones/etc you are so lucky, especially of you have the familial support to back it up. If you are an older adult it can be very hard to come out, but you are likely to be well established in a career, which can help tough out the wave of shit you are likely to face. If you are a recent grad/just starting a profession it is really hard because the experience you can get might be more valuable than the risk of coming out, esp if you don't pass. But then you have to worry, what if these references are useless bc I will be going by a different name/pronouns? Will coming out at work damage career opportunities? Will I ever reach a point where I can have a stable life and be open about my identity?

Being closeted when you have fully conceptualized and accepted your identity feels like being slowly crushed. Is rent money really worth it, you might ask yourself?? What if you are on hormones, but you don't pass yet, but it's a ticking time bomb before you are no longer recognizable as you AGAB?

Can people stop coming up with increasingly bizarre and esoteric terms for their specific brand of gender/expression/attraction/type of attraction known to man. ?

A Fight Club truth that none of y’all are ready for is that the porn tank top that Tyler wears in the movie’s final scene is the “chad” equivalent of an incel’s ahegao hoodie

did you know the candy cane symbolizes jesus? it’s shaped like a J for jesus, the red and white colors stands for the colors of the japanese flag (which jesus helped design), the peppermint flavor is an homage his favorite contestant on rupauls drag race, and the swirling color pattern represents jesus’s struggles with vertigo

God some people I used to know who are now blatant terfs are like “I’m so traumatized by my libfem past” and I distinctly remember their libfem past being like, sharing articles about epic buzzfeed gifs of Hermoine Granger, reblogging posts that say “rebwog if you tink twans boys are cutie wooties” like once a week, reblogging posts that say “trans women are women” like once every few months, thinking the feminist prison guard from Orange is the New Black is hot

10 times Queen Frozen was a boss babe, Wow Matt McGory got a uterus tattooed on his forehead, “reblog to make a terf angry” like once a month, more stuff about the Disney Princesses being a beacon of women’s rights

Traumatic libfem past: reblogged a picture of the trans flag twice, reblogged one post about Stonewall

It's the same type of bs when they claim they are "detransitioned" most of the time. Being unsure of your identity, thinking about buying a binder, and changing ur mind doesn't mean you get a free pass to hate trans people. In the rare cases the person actually did go on hormones for any period of time they complain about the trans cult and how women treat them different because they have deep voices. Like hello???

I’d like to know what the first person to put human clothing on a dog was thinking

Avatar

like were dogs even dogs yet or did someone manage to squeeze a particularly patient tamed wolf into a leather shirt and then howl with laughter as it trotted around the cooking fires dressed like Uncle Urg begging for food scraps

Avatar

the wolf started running backwards in circles trying to get out of Uncle Urg’s shirt and everyone is laughing so hard that the sleeping children and young mothers and old folk wake and come out of their hide huts and observe First Funny Dog galloping around in the moonlight, and a tradition is born

There was a brief but decisive evolutionary bottleneck of canines that begrudgingly allowed homo-chimps to live after sticking them in a corset.

“Will you flush game for me, Wolf, when I go hunting the wild things beneath the trees?” asked Human.

“I will,” said Wolf, “If only you leave me the bones and scraps of meat from your kills.”

“That is well,” said Human. “And will you use your ears and eyes and nose to guard me while I rest, and warn me when lions prowl too near?”

“I will,” said Wolf, “If only you let me lie in the warmth of your cooking-fires.”

“But of course,” said Human. “And will you do as I command, and follow me wherever I go, and love my children and grandchildren as you would love your own?”

“I will,” said Wolf, “If only you scratch me where my claws cannot reach, and pet me, and heal my injuries when I am wounded.”

“Always,” said Human. “And will you let me dress you up in funny clothes, and dance around, and do little tricks for me to laugh at?”

Wolf hesitated, and eyed Human warily for some time, weighing its choices. “That depends,” it said. “Will you tell me I’m a good boy?”

Human smiled. “The goodest boy,” it said.

Dog wagged its tail, and Wolf was no more.

I find it so frustrating how anytime someone says that TERFs/transphobes in general harm trans WOMEN and clarify, that it's only trans women that are harmed. Wrong. These people focus their disgust/hatred on trans women, but it doesn't mean that they aren't harming trans men and AFAB nb people. Terfs deliberately spread propaganda about what testosterone does to our bodies, they openly talk about how disgusting they find us. Any influence on our legal system that negatively impacts trans women, does the same shit to us. If it is legal to discriminate against trans women, it's legal to discriminate against trans men.

They try to break up our community by telling us that they don't hate us,"we are just confused", it's the trans women that are the real problem. But they don't actually support or care about us, they merely wish to use us as pawns. They try to convince people of their rhetoric, but it only leads to true self hatred and disgust of other trans people.

Those who wish to harm our community do not care about you. They care about making their nasty agenda work. Stand against transmisogyny. Stand against transphobia. Stand against terfs.

Sweetroll

You asked, and Tastes of Tamriel has finally answered! After much experimentation, here is the sweetest sweetroll recipe you’ll ever need! Crisp and crunchy on the outside, moist and soft on the inside, this is a truly legendary treat!

Note: This recipe calls for real vanilla for a taste that will send you to Sovengarde, but if you don’t have that on hand, 1 tsp vanilla extract is fine too. The icing is also quite a conservative amount- just enough to glaze the top. If you want a dripping sweetroll experience, you can double the amount.

You will need: 1 large bundt tin (or 2 smaller ones) 2 cups plain flour 1 tsp baking powder ¾ cup milk ¾ cup water ½ cup caster sugar 1 cup maple syrup or honey 3 eggs, beaten 60g butter, melted 1 vanilla pod, scraped 3 tsp cinnamon powder

For glaze 1 cup melted butter 1 cup icing sugar 1 vanilla pod, scraped

Method: Preheat oven to 200C/392F and grease your bundt tin well with butter.

In a large mixing bowl, combine all the baking ingredients and mix well. Pour into the bundt tin/s and bake for 45 minutes, or until brown and risen. It should be firm and crusty on the outside. Flip onto a wire rack to cool before transferring to a plate.

For the glaze, combine the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla in a small bowl and whip until well blended. Drizzle over the top of your sweetroll and wait til icing has hardened before eating.
