Stunning Clay Wildlife Sculptures by Beth Cavener Stichter
Washington-based sculptor Beth Cavener Stichter creates life sized animal sculptures from clay and other tools. Aesthetically and symbolically beautiful, Stichter’s creations display deep emotions of fear agression and love between the prey and the predator. The macabre element is beautiful, as well as atmospheric. The texture of the animals’ fur convey a high energy element of panic and the natural movement of animals. Hung by ropes or pinned down to walls, Stichter pieces blur the lines between artifice and nature; the human expression in her pieces is as equally beautiful as its exterior.
I didn’t plan for you.
