what paint do you use and do you have any recommendations as to how to get better at rendering?
Thank you! I use regular winsor & newton oils. Not water based. I use linseed oil as a medium as well. Generally I recommend to have 1. enough paint that has enogh medium to be thick and smooth. That way you can blend very easily. I also paint in areas at a time. Going sometimes for chin, then cheek, connect chin and cheek, then start on nose, then lips. Connect lips with nose and cheek. That way you don’t confuse yourself with paint that is random areas it’s not supposed to be. Also pick both large and small brushes. Large brushes for big areas you need smooth transitions and small brushes for areas that needs more small details
