picture this you post some art on tumblr and someone replies and adds captions for blind people and it’s like “a painting of a small white dog in a field. the dogs anatomy is a little off and the colours are too muted to be anything special. it lacks charm. it’s very shit. likely drawn by a child or someone with no skill or talent.”

ok but in all seriousness its best to refrain from adding opinions in image descriptions. like saying “a shitty drawing” isn’t gonna help people who need ids know what the image is since shitty is totally subjective. is it shitty because it’s all blue and you hate that color? “a drawing in neon blue”. now the people the id is for can form their own opinions on it. personal feelings in ids are often vague and unhelpful because like. ids are largely for people who can’t actually see them so they can’t know what u mean by “lipstick of my aunt carol”

True! Adding opinions on it is obviously. not good both positive and negative, but also I think some people will take objective description as a negative description. ie. "A simple and messy sketch of a white dog" or "a white dog-like figure" would describe both the subject and style it's drawn in. (though this is all coming from someone who doesn't require IDs, just makes them- if there's a correction feel free to tell me!)

Of course if the OP was offended by it they could just. make the ID themself
