In the American system, you are not voting for a candidate. You are voting for an outcome.

No matter who runs as what, there are only two possible outcomes:

That’s it. Those are the only possible results. It is not possible for a third party candidate to win. It is not possible to completely rebuild our electoral system before the 2020 elections. One of those two things is going to happen.

If you vote for anyone other than Trump or the Democratic nominee, or if you choose not to vote at all, you are saying you don’t care which of those outcomes happen and you will gladly let everyone else decide for you.

This is literally how he got into power. When Trump got the nomination, the more moderate Republican voters said “well, I don’t like him, but he’s still better than a Democrat” and voted for him anyway. I know this because my parents are (or were in 2016) those moderate Republicans. And the fact that so many leftists won’t do that with the Democratic candidate is why he eked out victory. (Yes, I know Clinton won the popular vote – but a bigger turnout in the right places can make up for EC bullshit.)

It’s not about the person. It should be, but it’s not. It’s about which party has a majority and the Presidency, because the party with control makes the rules. And to proclaim in 2019 that both parties are equal evils is privileged horseshit.

Excellent commentary AND ALSO please be aware that pretending to be a leftist of some stripe and encouraging people not to vote because the Democratic nominee is insufficiently leftist or whatever IS A TECHNIQUE DELIBERATELY USED BY THE RIGHT TO DEPRESS THE VOTER TURNOUT OF THEIR OPPONENTS.

If you do not want Trump to win you have to vote for the Democratic nominee in the next presidential election. That is literally your only option given the realities in play. You don’t have to like them. In fact you should feel free to let them know how they can be better. But you DO have to VOTE THEM IN. It’s like in a board game when you put your piece in a less than optimal spot to block your opponent from just winning on the next move.

Not voting is Not. An. Option. This election cycle. Feel free to harbor whatever reservations you have about whatever candidates you want, but when the time comes to cast a ballot, suck it up! Vote conscience in the primaries, reality in the election. Lives are VERY LITERALLY at stake.

And if any of you dinguses do the whole “I didn’t vote because it didn’t matter”/“I wrote in my fave because I’m mad they didn’t win the primary”/“I voted third party because I think we shouldn’t have a two party system”/“I wrote someone in as a joke”, get ready to catch some hands.

It’s a shitty system we have. But if you see/hear ANYONE saying not to vote, they’re working for the conservatives. Full stop. Even if they’re not doing it on purpose, or say they they have a different agenda. They are working for Trump.

As of right now, I’m voting for Not Trump. Voter reform, and fixing of the broken system we live under is possible under Not Trump. I’d really like to see a candidate I’d actually like to vote for on the ballot, but if not, I’ll still vote for Not Trump.

Okay that virus that’s going around, is seriously fucking scary. I got the same thing on my computer about a week ago and I got rid of it, but it took a lot. This type of virus can control your browser, it can control your webcam, it can control all your files, and track you.

If you’ve seen the post already, do not click on the user if someone like this follows you. 

 If you do on accident, you will be taken to an FBI site, which tells you you’ve viewed pornography and stuff. Looks a little like this…

It asks you to pay a fine. ITS NOT REAL. DO NOT PAY IT. You won’t be able to leave the page, or close your browser. Your computer is probably infected now, and you need to remove it.

If you have seen a post about it, you’ll see that icon, and a URL with random letters. Please don’t risk it, you’ll have to work really hard to get it off your computer. Be careful, and DO NOT PANIC. Here is another tutorial on how to get rid of it,

Not only do they serve the customers store-bought food under the pretense of it being gourmet and house-made, but they treat their customers absolutely terribly. This woman once chased two guys out of her restaurant because they had decided to leave after waiting 2 HOURS FOR THEIR FOOD. SHE WAS PISSED BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T PAY FOR IT.
