"The Lawlight foot rub isn't gay you idiots, it's a Bible reference!!!"

Yeah bitch, no shit it's a Bible reference. I grew up Catholic within the Theology of Liberation, do you think they ever shut the fuck up about Jesus washing Judas' and Mary Magdalene's feet? That shit is burned straight through my goddamn frontal lobe

Here's the thing though. In the Bible, washing one's feet is an act of worship. It is a very common theme, actually, with Jesus being offered to have his feet washed and then washing the person's feet instead being a motif. And the whole point of that is that Jesus is always washing the feet of those who have sinned, of the biggest pariahs at the time - prostitutes, the sick, the poor, you name it. Jesus' whole thing was saying that those who were at the margins of society were actually the ones most likely to enter heaven, those who deserved to be worshipped. It was also an act of forgiveness, of allowing them to start anew, in many cases - such as Judas'

So L washing Light's feet necessarily evokes exactly that symbolism - of worship and forgiveness. But here's the thing though, L is not fucking Jesus. He is an extremely competitive and frankly immoral guy, he would never "turn the other cheek" so to speak. Honestly, for anyone who is anything short of, you know, a holy figure way above human's capabilities, forgiving someone you know is about to kill you is proof of utmost love and devotion. For L, who cares about nothing other than winning, doubly so

So three things are going on in this scene: 1- L is allowing Light to actually fucking kill him; 2- L is, despite that, straight up worshipping Light; and 3- he's touching Light's foot

I think we can confidently say that the third one is the least gay out of all of them

I think my most meta milgram theory is that all the prisoners relate to social issues in Japan (this was brought up by my friend but they don't have tumblr so I'm gonna post it here)

Haruka- ableism, specifically against learning disabilities. Haruka's story is all about how he was born "wrong" and how his mother didn't want him

Yuno- the abortion debate

Fuuta- online harassment and cancel culture

Muu- bullying, and how in social structures someone always has to push someone else down to be on top (the whole hourglass metaphor)

Shidou- curroption in the organ donation system, and how brain death is viewed in Japan

Mahiru- societal expectations of women, and the pressure to marry

Kazui- okay so since his crime is vague rn, either A. Cheating or if gay kazui theory is correct B. Lgbtq issues, could also be japan and it's issues with intimacy and how his wife felt unloved but he didn't realize

Amane- Japan and its history with cults

Mikoto- ableism against the mentally ill, and the "just endure it" view of mental illness in Japan which makes alot of people reluctant to reach for mental health help. It's probably why Mikoto seems to not realize he had DID or OSDD

Kotoko- curroption in the legal system, and how crime against women and children are often ignored by the police

desperate for a tv show filmed like modern family or the kardashians of the batfam, titled “watch out for the waynes” or something like that.

bruce signed for the limited series to keep up appearances.

dick acts like a love island contestant.

damian is only ever in the corner of shots, staring into the soul of the cameraman.

cass, similarly, does not contribute much, but looks to the camera like she’s in modern family whenever shit happens.

tim finds every way to be the last laugh, the one-liner guy, the “unexpected, effortless, fan favourite™️”.

duke frequents the interview room.

jason sends subtextual messages to the audience through the books he’s seen reading in a scene:

bruce and tim are having a tiff about who’s idea is better while jason’s reading “the metamorphoses - book iii 339-358” (narcissus).

everyone’s having a grand old time at a gala while jason’s at a table reading “vile bodies”.

damian’s in a mood and nobody’s picked up on it yet while jason is seen reading “american psycho”.

nobody can find steph and tim and jason’s sat literally reading the back of a “dazed and confused” dvd to get his point across.

the five eccentrics are an authentic friend group because they are definitely engaging in “i hate your boyfriend” discussions with wataru (eichi because he’s their enemy), rei (kaoru because he’s annoying), and natsume (tsumugi because he’s their enemy) and “your boyfriend is too good for you” discussions with shu (mika). no one complains about kanata and chiaki but the other four are always constantly telling each other “break up with your boyfriend NOW” mostly in a jokey jokey way (they are all happy that everyone else is happy)

hiding in ur inbox. mcrblr is in flames tonight i can barely scroll through my dash without. well. i cant even explain it. please god tell me about kurokei

aaaaa idk whats going on but im sorry. ummmmm kurokei kurokei………. yeah i’ll talk about what a possessive bitch keito is thats always fun. so its not subtle but keito is Chronically and Cripplingly jealous over all the people close to him but kuro especially. its cute sometimes like keito doesnt have many people to tell things to so he always approaches kuro to talk about everything from manga updates to random stories to cat videos (keito does canonically regularly show kuro cat videos its very cute), basically literally any reason he can think to spend time with kuro he will use because well. he likes being around him ^.^ and kuro listens to him and doesnt make fun of him or challenge him like eichi and rei do.

anyway yeah hes cute hes also SAD — in shinsengumi (one of the stories EVER omg its so good) madara keeps stealing kuro away from him. well its actually by kuros design, madaras really manipulative and good at getting under keitos skin so kuro is a dutiful boyfriend and keeps madara away from him. but because madaras so good at knowing how to get under keitos skin, he knows that keito has hella abandonment issues and relies on kuro a Lot and so out of no where tells keito that hes proposing to kuro and that hes training him to be a solo artist and that hes gonna leave keito. keito. Freaks out. also throughout the story, eichi and subaru had been hanging out a lot and keito felt like eichi was drifting from him so he was Already sensitive from that, and then madara proposed to kuro 😭😭. even with kuros reassurance he couldnt shake the utter Pain in his chest. it was so sad he literally just wants people by him :(

^^ screenshots from learning from the past but still

and then hes also a FREAK about it in learning from the past when undead and akatsuki are working together, theyre talking about how kuro and kaoru actually have a lot in common with their mums being dead and like, theyd probably get along if they tried……. BUT KEITO AND REI HAD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THAT

^^literally insane people. and the fact that theyre childhood friends too like. why do you guys perpetuate each others patterns and worst qualities 😔😔

anyway. keito loves kuro a lot. thank you for coming to my ted talk

I would love to hear more about cinderniki 👉👈

Okay thoughts (realised I haven't actually watched any type of cinderella movie or something but I know the basics of the story I promise)

-niki as cinderella. copes with having the worst family ever by thinking it's all okay as long as he gets fed.

-kohaku and madara as the step sisters because I really don't know I just think it's funny. himeru as step mother because he's evil enough for that I think. also he has the brain cell compared to df.

-rinne as the prince because I'm a gayass. gets pressured into getting married so he hosts the ball but also sophisticated stuff isn't for him he's just done this whole thing against his will.

-niki wants to go because freedom but also food

-family don't let him he's big sad

-really basic thinking but wataru as fairy godmother because idk he's silly and magic.

-I think at the ball niki would literally just be silly and minding his business but rinne would see him and fall in love with him because he's gay as hell like that

-also additionally I think since niki isn't allowed out he wouldn't actually know who rinne is so he'd just treat him like some random guy and rinne would probably love that and be able to talk to him more naturally

-I think logically rinne would just remember what niki looked like and not do the whole shoe thing but it's cinderella what are you gonna do about it

-I think everything else afterwards would just be the same as it is in the normal story. also no kisses before marriage (referencing hot limit here)

If anyone wants to add or change any points free to add!! I came up with this out of nowhere without much thought I just like thinking about rinniki

The night at the dance Rinne was just listening to Niki infodump about food and the way he finds Niki is that when Rinne gets to his house he’s cooking the exact dish he was talking about (nikujaga or something)

Enstars Pokémon HCs (that I may or may not draw??) This is quite a long list so I’ll put it under a read more

  • Ibara has a Seviper and Yuzuru has a Zangoose. I’m right and you know it. Also debating between Ibara having a Roserade or a Ferrothorn but y’know he can have both. As a treat
  • Jun has a Mightyena (he’s had it since he was a kid when it was a lil Poochyena)
  • Hiyori has a Meganium (the vibes just made a lot of sense for me)
  • Nagisa has so many fossil Pokémon. Like. That’s his entire team. He also has a small army of Carbink but no one knows where he keeps finding them—
  • Funny story so like. I don’t know if Bloody Mary would be a Pokémon or a regular dog here but if she was a Pokémon she’d probably be a Lilipup
  • You’d think Niki would have a Munchlax but he absolutely cannot ‘cause between the two of them they’d just go through too much food too fast (I fully believe he’d have a Morpeko tho)
  • RYUSEITAI ALL HAVE MATCHING MINIOR IN THEIR RYUSEI COLORS AND YOU CAN ATTEMPT TO PRY THIS FROM MY TINY COLD HANDS BUT YOU’LL FAIL
  • Mama has a Bewear and a Kangaskhan (the mama Pokémon of all time)
  • Insta user fuyuhikoswife said Rinne looks like a shiny Pawmot and I don’t know if he’d have one but I can’t get that out of my head so I thought it’d be a fun thing to share (they also said Hiiro looks like a shiny Pawmi and yeah)
  • HiMERU Zoroark. AND he has an Inteleon (that used to be Kaname’s Sobble because someone, I can’t remember who, drew Kaname with a Sobble and I absolutely subscribe to the idea of Kaname having one of the crybabiest Pokémon ever) that only kinda listens to him. Like it’ll cooperate when necessary but it would prefer its original owner y’know??? I mean he could also have his own Inteleon that he raised instead if that makes you less sad—
  • Rinniki Volbeat and Illumise <3
  • I think 2wink Plusle and Minun are a given—
  • Shu’s got a Furfrou and Mika has a Mimikyu
  • Kuro has a Leavanny (y’know the sewing and. Mom friend vibes)— it was a Swadloon during his delinquent days
  • Wataru’s got a Drifblim I think that’s also kind of a given (I don’t know if he’d have a Mr. Mime ‘cause he’s enough of a clown but he’d have a lot of Pidoves/similar bird Pokémon)
  • ALSO FUNNY STORY so I was originally gonna make Kohaku’s 6th Pokémon a Drifloon, like it tried taking him away since it mistook him for a small child after he left home but then he caught it. Until I figured he probably wouldn’t go anywhere near ghost types—
  • So anyways Hajime has a Drifloon ‘cause it tried grabbing his siblings but he was like “hey that’s not nice >:(“ and it felt bad but Hajime took it in and now they’re besties uwu
  • Aira leans towards cutesy/heart themed Pokémon like Luvdisc, Woobat, but I also think it’s so incredibly important that he has a Ducklett. Y’know.
  • Shinobu just has all the ninja Pokémon, like I mean Ninjask, Nincada, Accelgor, etc, but his main is Greninja ‘cause it’s a ninja and a frog (he’s also very partial to frog Pokémon)
  • Anzu has Delibird (to help her with work) and a Chansey (to keep her alive when she does too much work)

Subject to more additions probably

Unhinged thoughts I've had recently about Ienzo/Zexion in no particular order:

  1. We learn from Even in BBS that Ienzo was adopted by Ansem the Wise at a young age after something happened to his parents and he was orphaned. However, for Ienzo's parents to even be mentioned here is really Odd for Kingdom Hearts--we've never seen a canonical appearance of a character's parent in any of the games, and there are only a handful of times they've even been mentioned (Riku mentions that Sora's dad usually takes them out on the boats in BBS, Terra calls Eraqus his father but is not related to him by blood, Sora's mom notoriously calls him in to dinner in KH1, and Kairi had a grandmother in Radiant Garden if you want to count that). The only time we've ever seen the canonical appearance of a parent in the games is Xehanort's mother in KHUX/Dark Road, and that was extremely recent and considered very abnormal. Kingdom Hearts, up until KHUX, was always very unconcerned with the concept of blood family, so the fact that this bit of dialogue was included about Ienzo feels way too out of place not to be deliberate, especially since no other Organization member's parents are ever discussed (even though Lea and Isa were also kids). Given that Nomura seems particularly intent on exploring bloodlines in his current and future KH projects, I wonder if this detail will turn out to be something significant.
  2. The scene in KHII Final Mix where Xigbar interrogates Zexion about what Xemnas is up to in the Chamber of Repose rings especially strange now that we know that Xigbar is actually Luxu (and additionally because the scene was not originally in the game and added to Final Mix, though probably this was to set up plotlines for BBS). What did Luxu think Zexion knew? He doesn't appear to actually glean any information from him--it's Zexion who gets information in this scene, he learns that Xemnas is looking for Ventus. Additionally, if Luxu already knew that Xemnas was looking for the Chamber of Waking to find Ven, he definitely knew that he was talking to Aqua in some way in the Chamber of Repose--my guess is that he was trying to learn from Zexion whether Xemnas had actually captured Aqua herself. (Luxu's ultimate goal here, remember, is to get Xehanort to act as the "scapegoat" and recreate the Keyblade War, and he's trying to keep as close of tabs on his progress as possible. Xemnas was trying to track down more ancient Keyblade wielders at this point--Luxu having just recruited Lauriam--and he likely wanted to know if he had managed to turn Aqua to their cause.) However, as Luxu is almost as inscrutable as MoM himself and his motives are extremely difficult to read, it is possible there's something else that he was trying to learn from him. If this is the case, I'd say that it was probably something that Zexion didn't even know he knew, or else he probably would have told Sora in KH3 if he had deemed it important.
  3. Additionally, this exchange makes one question why Luxu would go to Zexion for this information in the first place, as he had already instated himself as Xemnas' right-hand man and is the person Xemnas would be most likely to tell this information. Nomura has stated in the past that Xemnas and Zexion shared a sort of "master-servant or teacher-student" relationship, which would likely explain this. This also explains why Saix believed that he was a threat to his rise to prominence within the Organization, even though he was a lesser number than him, and had Axel eliminate him in Castle Oblivion. It's kind of a shame that we never got to see this dynamic.
  4. It does seem odd that Xemnas would deliberately mentor Zexion, a non-Keyblade wielder, if he was deliberately looking for Keyblade wielders of old to be his vessels. However, since Ienzo was only around eight or nine years old when he was manipulated into becoming a Nobody (which, side note, that's messed up), it's possible that he believed he might grow to have this potential--or, more likely, he knows what happened to his parents and believes him to have some connection to or be descended from a Keyblade wielder of old.
  5. Zexion is the only Nobody besides Roxas and Namine to have a complete opposite personality to their recompleted self--while Zexion is reserved, terse, manipulative, and delights in cruelty and deception, Ienzo is warm, helpful, and borderline extroverted. While his lack of evil intent and fanatical devotion to the Organization's goals can be chalked up to his being recompleted, just as the other recompleted Organization members are no longer evil, it can't be denied that the difference between Ienzo and Zexion is like night and day. (Take Axel and Aeleus, for example--though they are no longer Nobodies and their goals are different, their personalities remain the same for all intents and purposes.) Ienzo mentions to Sora that they are no longer evil because they were out from under Xemnas's influence, so it's possible that we could ascribe this personality shift to that, especially as we know that he and Xemnas had a mentor-student relationship, and because we know that Ienzo was lied to as a child and made to believe that Ansem the Wise (his guardian) had gone mad and abandoned them (he says that "they" told him this, but it seems likely that this was Xehanort himself, which might be why he became closer to him rather than Vexen). However, as Ienzo does not learn that this information was false until late in KH3, this seems unlikely--and honestly, that drastic of a personality shift still seems unlikely in the short amount of time (at least, to him) between his being killed in CoM and recompleted in DDD. This makes me wonder if, like Roxas and Namine, his transformation from a human into a Nobody was somehow abnormal, though in what way I'm not sure.
  6. Zexion's lexicon is called "The Book of Retribution," and I'm desperate to know why. Retribution for what? His guardian abandoning him?
