32—she/her—neurodivergent—doing things through the power of spite against my crippling anxiety—General blog of all the stuff I like because I deleted my last account because it was really hard to keep up with 6 blogs.

As someone who is somewhat of a “veteran” of the online ND community, I’m disappointed in the lack of positivity and love for lesser known diverse cognitive conditions, and the opposing abundance of posts about “cures” or outdated criteria or treatments for those conditions. So, without further ado, I want to say hello to anyone with any of the disorders I’m listing, and give them the love and support that hardly anyone else in our community has… Shoutout to:

  • People with Down syndrome
  • People with Fragile X
  • People with William’s syndrome
  • People with dyslexia
  • People with dyspraxia
  • People with dyscalculia
  • People with dysgraphia
  • People with Prader-Willi syndrome
  • People with PANS or PANDAS
  • People with aphasia
  • People with a TBI (traumatic brain injury)
  • People with chronic/early onset mental illnesses
  • People with cerebral palsy
  • People with FASD or were otherwise disabled via other substances in utero

And many, many more I may have forgotten to list (but still support and love, I will add more to my list)

You are all beautiful and wonderful, and you all deserve so more love, appreciation, acceptance and support. You are just as neurodiverse as the rest of us, and your voices deserve to be heard and amplified.

I love you all ❤️

A.I. photos are flooding social media and contributing to an Internet where we can't believe what we see. Spotting A.I. 📷s is an important media literacy skill.

None of us have time to research every image we see. We just need people to notice BEFORE THEY LIKE OR SHARE that an image might be fake. If unsure, check it or don't share.

I've started drawing some comics explaining the basic of AI spot-checking and media literacy in the age of disinformation. Follow along here or on my Twitter.

We are a small Canadian stim toy business run by two autistic women.

Many places that sell stim toys are focused on the needs and experiences of parents of young autistic children.  Here at FlappyHappy, autistic needs and voices are centred over caregivers.  Our goal is to focus on autistic adults since so many shops market towards children and it can feel infantalizing. Our stim toys are also great for people living with trauma, ADHD, chronic pain, anxiety, or other needs! We want you to know that it’s okay to stim. It’s more than okay actually! If you benefit from stim toys, then they are for you!

We carry a mixture of your usual stim toys but also more discreet stim items like jewellery! We also carry our own array of handmade items that you can’t get anywhere else!

It means so much to us if you share this post or otherwise spread the word about us.

We also offer free worldwide shipping on orders of $70 CAD or more.

This song is older than me, but I feel like it perfectly encapsulates the alienation and reliance on things to determine our identity that is forced upon us by capitalism. I’ve always related to this song, and just the fact that it exists proves that I’m not alone. I’m not separate. I belong. And that there is hope and connection.
