there are no dilettanti of anguish

I’ve been thinking of a way to encapsulate my strongest or most prevalent feelings as of late. Beyond just being full of myself or rolling in the indulgence of my life and the strengths of my prowess specifically. I will say this. Being the god of your own life, and the world it inhabits, is good. It’s satisfying. Any god with sense beyond hopeless self degradation or insanity knows that their world turns whilst they sleep, and commits to events you do not incentivize or set in motion. The life on your world may inhabit a realm of your design, but the universe is a matrix of entropy, and that life has its own perception and matrix of interaction. You have the right to rule what is your domain and that should be enjoyed just as much as it should be understood. No sense or operandi of control is all encompassing, even as that may betray the instinctual drives built into a word of concept such as that one. Instead, “control” is an influence, as much as any other factor in a complete equation with parts and variables outside of a single contingency. Something like ‘rule’ will never be an absolute, or even a key to a compound sentence of other components. Rather, it is a flexible integer directed by one’s own methodology, experience, execution, and pliability within the world they have built and preside over.

All of this is to say, the most powerful leaders, directors of efficacy, and gods beholden to reverence, understand their influence intimately via an understanding of what cannot be influenced, or acted upon. Enjoy what you have the freedom to feel in your hand, and the levers you can wrap your fingers around. There are no absolutes, but every game has rules, and every system can be known, influenced, and gamed. Happy dictation.
