poly paige sah teddy PLEASE
I can actually fully see this happening
okay I’ve not watched all of today’s Casualty yet but I’ve watched the scene of greatest concern to me: the Sah and Paige kiss
I feel like I’ve suddenly been employed as Sah’s PR manager who is extremely disappointed in their behaviour
like my brain is just…. my client didn’t see that first kiss coming, you can’t hold that against them. yeah but they didn’t need to go in for the second.
It’s looking like the next Casualty episode will be more about the NHS and its 75th anniversary than the character storylines.
I think it’s a good choice and a good way to celebrate the NHS. I always think that when Casualty does episodes and storylines like this about the NHS they feel really important and the actors all put a lot into it but I also feel like I’ll probably have less to say about it than I normally do because I can’t imagine that they’ll focus on the fictional stuff based on what we know about how this episode is going to work (and if they did, it would feel pretty inappropriate to me) and that’s usually what I talk about on here. I’ll probably still put a post up about it though!
MAX CALLING DYLAN DK OMG 🥺
Also… I don’t hate faith as much as a lot of people seem to, in fact I don’t really mind her too much and think she can be lovely. But I just no longer care about the drugs storyline lol, like I care because Iain is involved but that’s it😂😭
I think I've gone a bit berserk with the faith hate 😅 Like it's more just I'm sick of her, like the other characters resonate more with me. I feel like she could get help if she really tried but I'm so irrationally overprotective of Ian! But the drugs storyline is being draggeeeeed like can we see some happiness for Ian!
It's also nice to see some people still have faith in Faith anon 😉
Me looking at Max’s scar and trying to work out what organ he’s probably had removed.
Theory - I’m going kidney and something will end up being seriously wrong with his remaining one, and Jodie will eventually find out and want to be tested to see if she’s a match.
I really want to like Ryan but it’s just like every episode he does something annoying/manipulative.
ANON THE STRUGGLE IS REAL! They keep on showing him in a vulnerable state and I'm like "Aww maybe he's just struggling" but then you're right, he does something bad. Like I dont even know what to think!
Won’t last long I agree! I think she will end up with Cam eventually (yayyy). Altho I do feel bad because if the spoilers are too believed they’ll be rumours about her and max, her and Dylan, and then eventually her and Cam/Ryan 😂😭
Oh you're 100% right anon! There will probably be rumours about her and donna, Donna and Stevie, honestly that gossip in the ED 🤣🤣
the timing of paige and sah necking off and then teddy rushing in literally sobbing with worry for them both is just hilarious to me
Okaaaaay so this review is all over the place but bear with me :)
Max’s backstory has got me INVESTED like what is this man’s deal??
Ian, you better bloody shop Faith in because i am so sick of her getting away with her drugged up mistakes! I was so done with her weeks ago but since the writers insist on dragging her story out then i guess i get to hate on her some more.
okay my thoughts on this week’s spoilers, I’ve processed them now
I think, pretty definitely but who knows, after the explosion in the pub, it will become clear that Max is Jodie’s dad and she won’t have to leave. They’ve only just started to get into the Ryan and Cam stuff and I feel like they’ll definitely have more places to go with it after this week.
Faith Stuff™️, for all that I don’t enjoy Faith I’m really wondering if they’re going to get rid of her after next week or if they’re going to somehow find a way to keep her going.
The whole thing about Sah and Paige kissing is what I’ve been processing. Why???? Obviously for the drama of it all but in the Holby universe what will be the reason that they do that, “adrenaline” is not enough of a cause and the ‘tension’ they’ve had is not the kind that feels like it can or even should translate into romantic feelings. I have a lot of thoughts on this, too many to fit in this post. In some ways, I saw this coming (Sah, Teddy and Paige relationship drama) but I didn’t see it going this way at all. I don’t really care all that much about Paige to be honest, not that I don’t like her I’m just not super interested so my big concern here is Sah and Teddy. I love Sah so I feel obligated to stand by them in everything they do but I’m also feeling really bad for Teddy in all of this (I mean he literally took a bullet for them, I feel like the least he could ask for in return is for them to not kiss his girlfriend) and think it would be a shitty move if Sah is the one to initiate the kiss, I’ll still defend them with my life but I can defend them and be disappointed in them at the same time. I really just hope that Teddy finds out as soon as possible, I don’t want to have multiple episodes of them hiding it from him because then I feel like it would ruin their friendship even more and I need them and they need each other!!
Maybe it’s actually Max then gets hurt not Jodie? And that’s how it’s revealed hmmm
Yeah that could be interesting, he could get hurt trying to find her and she’s actually fine. I think that could totally happen because they do like to kind of disguise what the actual route of the plot for big things like this will be with the spoilers. I’d find this route maybe more interesting because I feel like Jodie has been in enough danger at this point - the bomb, that guy who spiked her, the snake, the kid with the gun (probably forgetting something) - that maybe they’ll want to switch it around this time. The more detailed spoilers that we’ve gotten today seem to support that this could happen as well.
How do you think they'll reveal that Max is Jodie's dad? I had assumed that it would be too do with the rumours but now I have 3 theories and I need to talk to someone about it lol.
Theory 1 - It does just get revealed because one of them gets sick of the rumours.
Theory 2 - It gets revealed because of the situation with Stevie, I can't see Jodie being able to keep her mistake quiet long. So maybe she says something to Stevie which unravels everything.
Theory 3 - In the latest trailer there's a few scenes where it seems like Max is running? Maybe something happens with Jodie and it will get revealed in a sort of life/death situation.
Any ideas yourself? :)
Thank you so much for the ask! I’m just realising how little I’ve considered the way they’re going to reveal the Max and Jodie stuff. For a while I thought that maybe, seeing as Cam was the first person Ryan told about this stuff, they’d progress the Jodie and Cam relationship stuff a bit and then Cam would accidentally mention it causing some classic Casualty relationship drama but now the rumour has gone round the hospital, I guess it won’t be that. I still think it’s possible that the Cam and Ryan stuff could come into it in some way, though. I also think your theories are great! (More below the cut because I was rambling, lol.)
Loving this dynamic at the moment between Jodie and Max! 👍
So did Dylan find his sunglasses?
The real questions
Don’t know if anyone watches or knows of Casualty but it’s a medical drama on in the UK that has been running for decades and I’ve been watching it the majority of my life. Anyway there’s a non-binary paramedic and this week they announced their top surgery is going ahead and it was just so nice to see it being discussed on tv and to have it be received positively. Here 👏🏻 for 👏🏻 it 👏🏻
I JUST REALISED I HAVE NOT talked about the new nurses on casualty at all yet. (mainly bc I was on a tumblr break when they were introduced).
anyway the group dynamic between the 4 entirely new ones is amazing 10/10. cam is so painfully socially awkward in a similar way to me which makes it difficult to watch sometimes. donna is very cool also ( I have not seen holby but I know she is from there)
stevie faith friendship has also been top quality in recent episodes???? stevie is a very compelling character to me. like she is so mean sometimes but she is good at doctor stuff (I think? that's what everyone in the show says anyway) and although she isnt the most sensitive it is nice to see when she is.
potential spoilers under this part?
the only thing i am not looking forward to is that Jodie's actress revealed in an interview that jodie and ryan will share a kiss. and uh. since it is well established that cam has a crush on jodie. there will be fallout and relationship drama tm.
I wonder if we’ll get a Jacob scene, at some point, along the lines of Holby’s Henrik and Sacha one in S20E20 about Henrik refusing therapy - the “You hate yourself too much to try to heal?” one. Because… well, I feel like Jacob’s mindset right now is very similar.
I don’t know which Casualty character could take Sacha’s role in such a conversation though. Iain would fit best, I suppose, considering their friendship and Iain’s own history of mental health issues (both of which could be paralleled with the Henrik/Sacha stuff, actually - their pre-existing friendship, and Sacha’s depression storyline from the previous series that was revisited soon after).
