As you may know, Ao3 is under a DDOS attack from a religiously motivated anonymous group called Anonymous Sudan who claimed they were doing this because of Ao3's Lgbtqia+ and NSFW content. A DDOS attack is pretty much when people try to make a website go offline by flooding it with requests, and logging onto Ao3 right now would only make things worse by adding more information to process for the volunteers who manage Ao3. Right now, the best we can do is log off of Ao3, spread the word on every platform so it reaches more people, and let the volunteers do their jobs.

Dean has seen Cas' wavelength arguably once or twice. One of those times should be when he was a demon and Cas literally hugged him into submission.
And. In his next scene with Cas he's like "looking good ;)"

like, c'mon, who the fuck is he talking about? Lisa? please. I do think Dean and Lisa genuinely cared deeply about each other, but up until Sam came back and Dean ended up getting hauled back into hunting, they were not having a wild and crazy relationship. Dean was barefoot in the kitchen making them omelets in the morning and taking Ben to his soccer games, that shit was absolutely steady-as-she-goes suburban simplicity all the way down.
and unless you squint really really hard at Amara, Dean doesn't have any other love interest after Lisa... unless you're willing to acknowledge his multiple years-long gay love affairs.
like it really comes down to the fact that Dean insists he doesn't know much about love for years. Karen Singer even calls him out on not understanding what a loving relationship with a spouse entails.
and his sad montage in Season 6 after he and Lisa call it quits is a highlight reel of domestic tranquility and is mostly about how much he liked being a dad for a year.
but somehow ten years later he speaks with confidence and certainty about love, with the warmth and surety of someone who knows exactly what he's talking about.

anyways. does anyone want to hear my theory about cas being the first angel off the production line after the archangels
anyways!!!! my point is. from what we can see, the archangels aren’t like the other angels in terms of expressing themselves and having emotions - they feel things, deeply and violently! often times to the detriment of anyone caught in the crossfire! they fracture and split apart pretty quickly as far as the universe goes so it makes sense chuck would want the next batch to be a little easier to control. he tinkers a little bit, makes some tweaks and changes and comes up with the first new angel prototype that, yeah, doesn’t turn out perfect but is a step in the right direction- a weird little dude with a crack in his chassis. he keeps tinkering and keeps getting better and better but still there are misfits (see: the garrison of misfits theory post) but eventually he gets the mass-produced angel iteration that we see with the others that don’t quite understand castiel.
and the reason cas is canonically so popular with and looked up to by the other angels is because he’s their big brother! and yeah maybe there’s something a little bit off with him, but hasn’t he always tried to look out for us?
this is also the reason he has a leg to stand on when he decides to go up against raphael too. and this is also the reason why they just keep rebooting him instead of getting rid of him when he “malfunctions”.
