Conservatives when statues of Christopher Columbus and slave owners are torn down: IF YOU ERASE HISTORY, WE'RE DOOMED TO REPEAT IT
History: Christopher Columbus didn't discover America. He forced the indigenous peoples into slavery and compliance, he would cut off their hands if they didn't bring enough gold. He put little girls and women into sexual slavery, even to be used by his own shipmen. They sent war dogs to attack indigenous people and eat their flesh. The European Colonizers forced the indigenous peoples into slavery and slaughtered them with disease and murder, they killed so many that the world actually cooled down. Their treatment towards the natives didn't stop and still exists to this day.
The history they teach us: Christopher Columbus discovered America and the Native Americans taught us how to grow corn and other vegetables :)
