Me: The fact that the “beautiful” women in One Piece are very rarely injured and never have scars, especially compared to the men, demonstrates two important things about the author’s mindset. One, that beauty includes “smooth” and unscarred skin, an idea which is frankly insulting and simply not true. This is especially irritating because Nami was once drawn with a scar on her shoulder from when she stabbed herself, but it was never seen again after Alabasta, while male characters with scars equally or even less important to their development are “allowed” to keep their scars. The second point is that the women almost never being injured or having visible injuries implies that their battles, few and far between as they are in the first place, are much less dangerous than the men’s battles, making up just one of many pieces of evidence that shows that Oda believes that women are and will always be weaker than men no matter what they do. It would be a great service to see the “beautiful” women of OP fight battles where they are injured or even scarred for once; while I do not advocate for the wanton beating of women, the situation is different in an allegedly fair fight where both parties consent and acknowledge that either one could hurt or kill the other. In addition, while it is true that fighting is not the only way characters can contribute to the story, it becomes a problem when the gender divide between who fights and who doesn’t is so clear.

Is it just me or do people attack Content Creators with ADHD more violently compared to neurotypical CC? Like Dream gets yelled at basically every day, people still hold Eret's words against them after they apologized, Karl is just seen as a bad person for like no reason, and now the anger towards Techno (someone we know has bad anxiety) got so bad that a subtwt died.

to be completely honest, there is probably nothing anyone can do about this at this point because it has been in the works since the 90’s. as you can most likely tell, our government is a fucking joke. still, this needs international attention. a lot of it. this is my country’s history, culture and one of the most beautiful things we have to offer at risk.
our best bet is at the very least causing somewhat global outrage to spread awareness and perhaps make this into something bigger amongst the middle and upper class people in the central cities as sadly the lower class and indigenous citizens (the majority of the country’s population) go widely ignored by the government and the former (middle and upper class) tend to also ignore shit unless they perceive it as affecting them directly

Hey, long time no see!! I've been thinking about this account for a while now but I hate to have to come back for this reason. If any of you remember me, I used to make op gifs and edits. I only stopped because my computer crashed and I lost all of my editing software and media. Been missing it though...
If you followed me for my Husky pup shenanigans and were here when I first got her then I'm so happy to tell you that she's doing great!! You can see pictures and vids on my twitter which is linked above. She's gone through some health issues herself that have steadily improved with a change of diet but I've actually switched careers and am now working in the pet industry which has done even more good for her health.
The reason I am making this post however is because on the 13th of this month, so eight days ago, I took her to our local park after a rough morning. While we were there having a good time, someone else's pup, also a husky, ran full speed into the front of my knee, dislocating it. I have torn the ligaments and my knee has since popped back into place but I cannot walk.
I am now unable to work and the bills keep piling up. They want me to go to an orthopedic surgeon to get an MRI done and see how extensive the damage really is. They also said they were worried about infection because my knee seemed hot to the touch. As of now I am on crutches and in a full leg brace. I cannot shower and I cannot dress myself and I cannot sleep. I also cannot properly take care of my pup. It's been a nightmare and it's only been a week.
My urgent care visit a day after the accident was $584, this is including the x-ray and the brace.
My follow up visit to a doctor today cost me $180, which could have been worse. I am happy happy to say I was able to hobble away with pain pills strong enough to help with my sleep, but they couldn't do more than recommend me to a specialist.
I have no health insurance.
The specialist they told me was probably going to run me another $500 with the MRI, maybe even more. Then if the damage is bad enough... surgery or physical therapy.
In summary I need help. Even if there is no amount of money that will heal me faster I need assistance so that I can still afford food for both me and my pup. As I am now, with not being able to work, I am slowly but surely watching my funds dwindle down into nothing.
When 2021 hit I was expecting something better than this...
