(okay so there's shorter bits of writing and then longer ones. here's one of the shorter bits.)

The self-proclaimed not-vampire does not immediately answer his apprentice, calmly putting together his words even as Ashe inches her blessed blade closer to his heart.

His red eyes turn to him, dull like the eyes of albino hylians instead of undead abominations.

"Long ago, before vampires become united under the banner of Ganon, there were those who chose to cherish their hylian memories, doing no harm and doing good if they could. They were called Shadowfolk by the hylians who knew them." he says as if its fact instead of legend, clawed fingers twitching restlessly.

"The artifact I use was made by the hands of one of those Shadowfolk, and the abilities this form grants is beyond necessary in my quest. I.. would not object if you call me by that title." his voice grows quiet and soft at that last sentence, just like the boy who passed through mere weeks ago.. Link, if he remembers right.

He speaks in the manner of a hylian hunter, and he can see no deceit anywhere-besides his faux calm, but that makes sense.

After forty years of hunting the night, he thought he saw most everything. A vampire (or 'Shadowfolk' as the boy asks to be named) that believes the change to be temporary is yet another item on a very long list of what he's seen.

He sighs, and calls Ashe off.

What so you mean by "10 years later past the recommended age bracket"? Wouldn't you be like... 9?? And half of Sonic games are rated 10+... 😟
