Reminder that in the Star Trek extended universe novels Amanda Grayson is made explicitly Jewish and thus Spock is not merely Jewish coded, he’s straight up, undeniably, legal under any movements definition, Jewish.

I watched the first AOS movie for the first time last night and was anybody going to tell me that Chekov was a higher official rank than Uhura, Dr McCoy, AND Mr big eyebrows himself Kirk for the whole runtime or was I just supposed just to infer that on my own
Kirk, Uhura, and McCoy where still fourth-year cadets during the movie (Kirk only half counts because he was in the middle of a suspension) and Chekov had actually already graduated by then. In terms of paperwork, it’s still gonna be Cadet Kirk and Ensign Chekov.
