REASONS TO LOVE TANAKA RYUUNOSUKE

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a proper appreciation post for the first boy I fell in love with in haikyuu.

  1. He’s such a good senpai to the first years, especially Hinata. He doesn’t make Hinata feel bad when he throws up on him when they’re on the bus. He makes sure he’s okay and cracks a few jokes.
  2. HE HASN’T TAKEN A BREAK AT ALL! HE NOR ASAHI HAVE BEEN SWITCHED OUT DURING ANY OF THEIR GAMES! AND EVEN DURING THE SHIRATORIZAWA MATCH, HE WAS TELLING HIS LEGS NOT TO GIVE OUT ON HIM NOW AS HE JUMPED!!
  3. this nerd literally shaved his head and asked Kiyoko to marry him when he first saw her, he’s such a damn goofball.
  4. when he and Daichi collided on the court, he felt responsible for it all beat himself up for it until Ennoshita and Asahi made their little speech to him.
  5. he’s known (by Oikawa and Iwaizumi) as mentally strong and doesn’t break easily
  6. he sings to himself when he walks to school okay he’s adorable
  7. SPEAKING OF! HE MADE SURE HE WAS GETTING THE GYM KEY AND SNUCK TO SCHOOL EARLY TO OPEN FOR HINATA AND KAGS, DESPITE DAICHIS WARNINGS OKAY HES A REALLY GOOD SENPAI
  8. he literally takes his shirt off whenever he scores a point, what a dork
  9. he’s such a headstrong person okay, he literally goes head to head with anyone who tries to rag on any of the first years (even Tsukki!!)
  10. he!! loves!! Kiyoko!! he and Noya pretty much worship the ground she walks on like?? need me a man like that
  11. HIM AND NOYA ARE LITERAL BROTP GOALS ASF!! he thinks Noya is the absolute coolest and their friendship is amazing
  12. he thinks Ennoshita would be a good captain

  17. even though he doesn’t have incredible game or academic sense, he’s still seen as a pillar and a threat by his own teammates and opponents

  19. HE STRAIGHT WENT UP AGAINST KYOUTANI DURING THE SEIJOH MATCH TO GET HIM RILED UP
