i mean i like stupid sh(it)

@camirodrigo05

overall, the show did a great job with bringing the personalities of the characters in the first two books to life onscreen, but i feel like of all the characters, kipps changed the most. in the show, he’s a bit of a jerk with a superiority complex and a crush on lucy. book kipps is a bitchy little leprechaun with a sword.

i'm personally a "Quill Kipps is an exasperated Older Brother Figure Please God Why Am I Surrounded By Children" truther, however, for y'all "Quill Kipps is in love with Lucy/Lockwood" truthers (love and respect y'all) I raise you "Quill Kipps is incredibly bisexual and is in fact in love with both of them, he started his whole pigtail-pulling thing with Lockwood and then was nice to Lucy because clearly the mean approach wasn't working and also he knows she'd kick his ass"

People who only watched the lockwood and co show must be very confuse why book fans love skull so much. I can only hope that if we get a second season they bring out his true personnality more so that we can all band together, both books and show fans, and give this dumbass of a skull the love he deserves.

Sword fighting, jumping off buildings into the grossest river ever, mystery, very deadly ghosts, longing and hands touching, forehead touching, supportive found family in a house of strange kids coping with trauma and belonging.

Also read the books so it all makes better sense.

Lockwood standing up when Lucy comes into the library in 1x01 like he’s a Jane Austen protagonist but also making no move to remove the old apple core from the chair he offers her. The duality of man.

it’s sad to read fanfics from people who haven’t read the books because they paint kipps as like a horrible person who is super rude to everyone when in reality he’s a tired mother at best.
