First time I saw this image, it was cropped for a book cover. So grand and gloomy when seen as a whole.
What would the WicDiv characters sing at Karaoke?
Please! I would not answer such important questions outside the comic. It needs to be canon or nothing. That Morrigan does MCR is all that’s established, and you won’t tear anything else from me.
If you could write a solo at Marvel, who would you want to write?
It’s the obvious choice for pretty much any Marvel fan, but it would have to be Amazing Spider-Man.
I grew up reading Spidey, collected the series on a monthly basis for over a decade while feverishly tracking down back issues, and love the mixture of action, humor, and drama woven through its core. Peter’s ‘voice’ is in my head and every chance I’ve had to write Spider-Man so far has been a rush. Taking the steering wheel on the flagship title would be the greatest.
Second to that would be Doctor Strange. Again, lots of love for the character, deep knowledge, and my sword & sorcery-writing experience would all feed into delivering something special, issue after issue.
It’s always a bit awkward writing these kind of wish lists because it can sound like I want the current team booted from their job, which couldn’t be further from the truth. I think Dan Slott and Donny Cates are doing a stellar job writing Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. Dan has proven himself as _the_ modern Spider-Man scribe with a winning streak of great ideas and memorable stories that stands strong. In just a couple issues, Donny has taken bold risks with Doctor Strange that’s delighted me and left me hungry for more. Working at Marvel at the same time as these two is a blast and, whatever I’m working on, it’s informed by their hard work and storytelling skill.
Are we going to see Rogue and Cannonball interacting during No Surrender? As in actually talking? They're best friends from their X-Men years. Thanks!
Yes! With everything else going on they don’t have a ton of time to hang out, but they do interact.
Hi Mr Bunn I wanted to ask you if we can hope to see Quicksilver or Wanda anytime soon on X-men Blue?. I know the retcon complicates things but I believe it would be a good moment for them to develop their relationship or lack of it after Axis. Do you think it´s possible? Thank you
Possible, I suppose, but I have no immediate plans.
Hey Jim with the big Bendis news how has it affected morale amongst the team? Also the 20 or so issues of your marvel stuff I've read so far are brilliant. Keep it up man
I have to be honest, it caught a lot of us off guard. After 17 years, Brian had become such a mainstay of the company that you can’t really imagine how it wouldn’t freak people out to hear he was moving on.
My first reaction was shock and worry, because that kind of major movement always creates huge ripples in the waters but, once that passed, I realized it was a good move for him, both creatively and financially, and opens up all kinds of opportunities at Marvel. We can’t take his input for granted and that means we have to step up and do it ourselves.
Creativity requires taking risks. That doesn’t mean you throw yourself off a cliff and hope you’ll fly. You need to balance responsibilities, finances, and everything else happening in your life but, once that’s done to the best of your ability, you need to move out of your comfort zone and see where it takes you.
I can’t speak for Brian (or anyone else at Marvel for that matter), but if he was feeling complacent then shaking things up and forcing other people to change what they do can be a very good thing.
Personally? It’s scary, inspiring, nerve-wracking, and exciting, all at the same time. :)
Like Brian said “Change is good.”
I’m pumped for 2018.
Bring on 2018!

Ebony as you know, I️ live for your creative writing and abstract romantic observations but this is absolutely my favorite so far.
Hi Jordan, with annuals making a little bit of a comeback, do you think your collections department will get their stuff together and include those annuals with the books they're related to? I just found that part of Bendis' X-Men run didn't make sense to me because no one at Marvel thought that including the TWO Eva Bell starring annuals that he wrote! were worth including with his runs when they were collected. Same with the annuals he did on New Avengers way back when. Whats the deal man?
No idea. I try to have the Annuals included in the collected editions of the series I work on as often as possible (which is the vast majority of the time) so I don’t know what happened there. Was the annual maybe collected with the OTHER Bendis X-Series from the time?
The Eva Bell annuals were included in the Uncanny X-Men hardcover.
Are you restricted from commenting on certain things by the legal folks at Marvel? Do they require you to sign a NDA to work there?
yup. sure.
and there’s stuff that’s just inappropriate for me to discuss because, let’s say, the story isn’t over… or it may Accidentally spoil someone else’s upcoming work.
like today is a perfect. Something happened in one of my books that have some people nervous about the future of a certain character and their relationships.
But the future of that character is actually in someone else’s hands so discussing anything that could happen in the future is just spoiling something.
angela and sera you ruined them forever!!!! no but seriously people need to chill and see what happens
I might be losing my touch. Got this very bland response from my editor over an Old Man Logan’s page 😁
Keep an eye out for Old Man Logan #25, folks!
Good god yes bring it on!

Good Lord yes!
Hey Jordan I just bought the Bendis Guardians omnibus and was crazy excited to see Duggan is the guy taking over the title! Is Guardians permanently double shipping or is this just for the first few issues?
For the foreseeable future!
Hell yes!
do you ever hide little secrets in the artwork you do for Thor?
😊 Yeah! Every once in awhile I put something in the details. There’s one in here:
Is it the Happy Potter and the Deathly Hallows symbol?
Hey! I've just reread Spider-Men. And I was wondering if the audience ever finds out what Peter Parker discovered about Miles Morales when he returned to his own dimension at the end of the book? Thanks!
(yes, you will)
Good God yes! I just ordered all of Miles comics online and am crazy excited to see his ultimate story unfold!
Hey Tom, Im sorry to hear about all the negative uproar surrounding the Captain America: Steve Rogers issue. Im really looking forward to reading it in trade/collected form when it eventually comes out. Did anyone at Marvel expect such a large back lash from the public when the story was published?
We expected there to be a response, but not to the level we got, nor with this amount of vitriol.
No one should be subjected to so much hate and violent threats for just doing their jobs, and doing it very well

Prediction for my future: SO MUCH UGLY-CRYING
So here’s the gist of things: Ulysses is an Inhuman with precognitive abilities. There are super-teams who think his foresight is a useful tool in keeping the world safe, and others who have concerns about the “probability ratio” of his visions. So, although this event is called “Civil War II,” the only thing it has in common with Marvel’s first Civil War event is that a lot of super-people disagree about how to do their super-personing and some of them get hurt in the process.
In a community as large as Marvel’s universe, it makes total sense that this sort of fundamental disagreement would come up every so often. Different kinds of powers, training, and personalities are going to give individuals different perspectives on how to best protect themselves, each other, and the world. I don’t usually get into big events like this, but the stakes here feel very real and I have a lot of feelings about it. Please understand that I must now use all caps because lower case letters cannot fully express my emotions.

Hey Tom is there any chance of us getting a Superior Spider-man Omnibus? I know its been collected in a few large hardback collections but i much prefer the runs collected in the one book (eg Remenders Uncanny Avengers and the recently released Soule Inhumans Collection).
I suppose it’s a possibility at some point.
Hell yes! Bring it on
Jordan, on Wade not being visible on Cerebero, isn't this because telepaths can't enter Wade's head unless he allows them? In DP kills marvel prof x can onlt read Wade's mind when he allows it.
No, he’s not visible on Cerebro because he is not a mutant.
Deadpool is not a mutant.
He does not have the X-Gene.
He does not have a “recessive” X-Gene.
The idea behind Marvel’s Mutants is not that there is a gene in them all that gets passed down from parent to child, it’s that there is a mutation that occurs so that the child has something the parent does not–the X-Gene. Most mutants are born of non-mutants, not because the gene is recessive, but because the gene is spontaneously developing in children whose parents do not have it.
The origin of it was in the fear of radiation from nuclear/atomic power. We’ve moved past that now, since we generally know the things that happen as a result of radiation are not awesome powers.
But it’s also been established in the Marvel history that children of parents who have been altered to have superpowers are more likely to have an X-Gene. Reed and Sue’s children. It was once said by Beast that Spider-Man and Mary Jane would have a child with an X-Gene. So it is with Wade. He was altered by the experiments done on him. But he’s not a mutant. His daughter is.
Such a good explanation, thankyou!
