Tumblr loves doing this. I tried to make a post about the ads that showed actual human penises in them, with screenshots, and it was taken down for violating community guidelines.... unlike the ad, I guess?
I occasionally see news stories and posts about scam victims and whatnot, and every time, without fail, I see dozens-hundreds of people in the comments going “Wow THIS person is SO STUPID, I could NEVER fall for this type of thing, look at this IDIOT!” And naturally, this bugs me.
It’s rare that people who fall victim to scams are just dumb and that’s where it ends. Effective scams are done through a combination of taking advantage of a person’s unfortunate circumstances, and employing psychological manipulation tactics.
A majority of the scam stories I see involve someone who’s lost their job, lost a loved one, are suffering some form of abuse, or any number of other difficult situations they may find themselves in.
It’s natural to believe you’re better than someone else who has committed some form of lapse in judgement, but you are in no way immune to being manipulated during a difficult time in your life.
Practice sympathy, and don’t get cocky.

If you are over 18 and do not want your parents to have control over your body after you die or if you go into a coma or something, take that power away from them. They are your automatic next of kin unless you get married which is why they have control over those things. But getting married isn’t the only way to change that, an advanced directive can do the same. This video has more information
sometimes neurodivergence questions will be like ‘do you find activities more enjoyable when they are activities you enjoy’ and it really makes me wonder if this ‘neurotypical’ thing has just been a big practical joke all along
