I walked around a bit with my grandfather’s old Nikkor 85mm f/1.8. My mother found the lens in a drawer in his house in 2011 about four years after he died. I was never able to shoot the lens on a digital camera until now because it predates Nikon’s aperture indexing system and could have possibly damaged my D800. On an adapter with a mirrorless camera that isn’t a problem, so I decided to go out and see what it could do.
