dropping these pride sticker sheets with, um, one week left in pride month because i am ✨ Bad At Time Management ✨

but look at how cute they are!!! i really wanted to do a (kind of?) subtle batch of pride flag designs, and it turns out it wasn’t even hard because i already use all of the pride flag colors in my art. literally pink blue and white (+/- yellow) is already my go-to color scheme for anything haha

anyway these guys are up on my shop now if you’d like to stick them on your things!!!

in Cavern of Dreams, my upcoming n64-style 3D platformer, there are multiple ways to solve problems! try using your mobility & observation skills to find alternate solutions...

i think the ideal amount of pokemon in a pokemon game is around 200. it means each of them can have more attention paid to their appearance/mechanics (making sure none of them are totally overshadowed), it means catching all of them is feasible, it lowers the game's scope to a reasonable level allowing the developers to add more fun side features, and it gives more character&flavor to a region. but i'm curious to hear other's thoughts!

in Cavern of Dreams, my n64 style 3d platformer, you can turn on a filter to simulate the visuals of the N64 more closely : )

build monuments to what you love. then tear them down and start again. keep trying to capture their essence, and keep failing and trying again anyway. do stupid things nobody else would do and if they work, use them. make some things for your own eyes, just to see them. there is art inside you and you deserve to see it

god i am So Sorry if youve answered this 80 times but i cant find it- what watercolor lookin brush are you using for the recent pokemon art?

no worries! i do get this question more than any other so i'll share my whole sugimori-style art process in detail below.

first i start with scanned lineart, done with brush pens on paper.

when painting digitally, i use Paint Tool SAI. i start with a simple base color with our good old friend the paint bucket.

next comes shading. here are my watercolor brush settings:

i copy the base colors of a drawing over and turning them completely white, then setting them to Screen mode. then i draw over the silhouette with a black watercolor brush (and sometimes midtones as well.)

after that i add an overlay (watercolor or coffee-stained paper) from a selection i keep on my computer. then i do some final color correction!

that's all! if you have any additional questions let me know!
