Shit Happens

@buddyn00ne

Tis the story of my life.

The stages of hunger while nd are

  • Hm I'm hungry
  • Forgets about it
  • Everything Is Bad. I'm gonna attack someone. Shut up. Die
  • Hm I'm hungry
  • [Eats something] oh shit I'm cured

Multiple times every day

"How do you forget you're hungry" I'm just that powerful. My mind will omit anything including things I'm currently experiencing

i’m gonna say it

having teenages and ppl in their early 20s with little to no experience with irl sex, dating and LGBT communities lead online discourse on what is sexual orientation and what labels mean has done incredible damage to our community

so much of the shit that has come out of twitter and tumblr in the recent years literally sounds like a homophobic fever dream but if you dare point that out you will be sent death threats by a swarm of teenagers who have never talked to a lesbian offline

me: online-only LGBT communities end up developing really out of touch and homophobic mentalities

online-only LGBT communities:

*sees this appear on my dash again*

*remembers OP’s hypocritical anti-pansexual stance*

What can I say except yikes?

I know this is going to make me sound pretensions but I have to get it off my chest. I feel an unimaginable rage when someone posts a photo and is like "this picture looks like a renaissance painting lol" when the photo clearly has the lighting, colors and composition of a baroque or romantic painting. There are differences in these styles and those differences are important and labeling every "classical" looking painting as renaissance is annoying and upsetting to me. And anytime I come across one of those posts I have to put down my phone and go take a walk because they make me so mad

In case you're curious here's what I mean.

Renaissance(distinct lines, stability and the individual man):

Baroque (bold, chaotic, dramatic):

Romantic(romanticize the simple hard working life):

Do you see the difference?

((The ability to appreciate and evaluate human aesthetic is not determined by your sexuality))

THANK YOU

SO just returned to tumblr and im still the super introverted self so if anyone wanna talk with me and i follow you just message me.

So I watch streams a lot on twitch and a few of them use automod. The things im saying are a ok for the streamers so they ok it. Its now a running gag of me cussing out automod. And this happened.

An American remake of The Magnus Archives would HAVE to be a comedy. There is just no believable way to make Americans so cagey and reserved, they're way too loud and emotional. Season one finale would look like this:

Please don't terrify me with the possibility that the Americans could get their hands on TMA.

As an American(sadly) please dont let americans get TMA. I havent even listened to it yet i just know its a bad idea.

Obviously the health officials did not talk to anyone even loosely affiliated with an actual school. For reasons big or small, terrible or sympathetic, parents send children to school sick all the time.

Schools have spent decades encouraging nonsensical levels of attendance, rewarding kids who don’t take a single day off all term/semester/year, and even punishing kids who take “too much” time off sick. Kids who actually get ill enough to stay home miss out on fun things and “prizes” and awards, because going to school with the flu (or almost anything else) is considered right, good, and necessary.

Then a pandemic comes along that solidly half the population insists is “just the flu” and you think people are going to forget that you indoctrinated them to believe that if they were capable of being conscious (and sometimes not even then) they should be in school? (And later, in work - this is at least part of the point of this stuff, training you to work while sick).

To say nothing of the simple fact that parents are frequently without childcare options and are forced to be in work even if they should be isolating. That’s also a huge problem.

When I entered secondary school we had an Assembly about taking time off and they used a brick wall as a metaphor for taking time off. Of course, if you take random bricks out of a wall it’s going to fucking collapse.

They used the example of “not feeling 100%” as the reason for taking time off. No kid is taking time off for just feeling a little off. They are taking time off because they have a virus, bug, or a literal condition that affects them and/or their peers. Letting one kid take a few days off seems much more logical than letting that kid suffer and potentially get other kids sick. Who will then take MORE time off, which will just fuel schools’ need to pointlessly lecture kids on the same issue over and over.

Imma be really honest and say that i stopped caring about schools and awards and stuff back in sixth grade. I got sick once and stuck in a hospital for a week. Ended up getting a b in a class because of that. I was laid up in a hospital unable to hold food or water down and they still counted the assignments i missed and didnt let me make em up. The system is shit and should be fixed.
