This is why I love little conversations with friends. This has bothered me for almost 6 years. Why did Steve give same a different shield? Yes, I know Thanos destroyed Steve’s shield. But…tell me more about this shield, Steven!

Why would "Old man Steve" have a different shield? Can I blame Peggy? I blame Peggy.

Peggy is always to blame ☝🏻 I just have so many questions with this design. Does it have new features like Bucky’s arm 👀 I have questions. Marvel are you going to answer them??

I always took it as because Sam is his own Captain America and different than Steve so Steve got him his own version of the “shield”.

But why so different 👀 the colors are different and there’s ✨ extra ✨

Maybe because Steve’s shield represents what Captain America use to be, like the nostalgia of it all and what Steve stood for when standing up to the bully that was Thanos in that final fight. And Sam’s is supposed to be the Captain America the world now needs? Idk I’m pulling this out of my ass, probably like the Russos did when they said “let’s give Sam a new fancy shield 😂

Hmm 🤔 like I said, Steve’s shield was destroyed. But there were some choices made with Sam’s shield and I want to know why. Did this improve the shield? Is it more aerodynamic? Or is it something else?

Hopefully it was an actual choice and we will find out and not a continuity issue. 😅

Since its those shields are in the same issue, I’m going to say it was a choice. But why?
