Mary boarded their ship and joined their crew, posing as a man. Bonny had done the same to Mary, until she’d fallen in love with her and revealed she was a woman (what she’d possibly already known as it wasnt much of a secret). Mary in her turn revealed she was a woman as well, and their affair started. Jack became jealous of the idea that Anne was with another man away from him, so Mary was revealed to Jack as well, and the three of them entered a poly relationship and lead the crew together.

you know a joke that never EVER gets old is when a character says smth like “I will NOT go to [place] and that is FINAL” and then it cuts to them in that place I eat that shit up every single time

Equally good variant: when the character says smth like “what’s the worse that could happen?” and it cuts to a scene where it’s so much worse than what they imagined
