On this illustration there is a port of Aivan city depicted. Aivan means “Windy” - In Wafa language, as it is believed that all the good winds are blowing into the city haven, so the architecture resembles it. Numerous windmills many of which were built by Wafa centuries ago are rising above the city, helping the citizens in their daily routines – the mechanisms connected to them are grinding the floor and magical ingredients, crushing stones for masonry, and even pumping water from the underground wells, for it to flow down the aqueducts. Even the main palace of this city is a giants windmill, working for the needs of a magistrate council, and the local wizard collegium. It was turned into a mighty fortress by the fao of kolchid tribe – rulers of the town. They were the ones who turned the city into the major trade hub – however not all of their deeds were favoured by Wafa – original population of the city and unspoken patrons of every fao. New rulers, allowed slave trade in the region and the living goods flowed into the city, from the south and the one hundred isles. Many members of the collegium, weren’t able to accept such an inhumane state of affairs, so many Wafas left the city, as even if they were compassionate towards slaves they remembered their own creators who allowed them developing the civilisation without the intrusion in it. Who knows – maybe Wafa were too hopeful towards their “children” who at first made the Uron tribes to flee to the mountains, and than started to fight and enslave each other. However consequences of a faos greed were long to show up – now they have several thousands of years until they eventually will destroy each other and will bring Mars to the decline, and slow death in the passage of milleniums.
