Also, I’m warning any of you who may play ToTK, the enemy that is the equal of the Guardians is pretty terrifying. I still don’t know how to defeat it and you can’t run because it goes after you in a worse way than the guardians did and even the Lynels.

Ok but also can i just say the effect of the spot as a character was done SO WELL?? even from the trailers i wrote him off i didn’t take him seriously at all. like “oh look at this silly doofus stealing an atm lmao” but like that was clearly a mistake. and also like ngl kinda mean? like no one was listening to him!! at all!! he tries to tell miles even the shop owner that like “hey this isn’t like me i just recently lost everything i’ve never stolen before in my life lol basically i’m desperate” and he’s just kinda “ok villain of the week shut up now i have things to do” (which i mean understandable miles is a kid lol) and like it’s really understandable why spot goes down the path that he does!!?? and the worst part is it was avoidable if someone just helped him or was just kind to him tbh like damn. esp knowing miles felt the same!! he felt ignored and unheard! it’s just sad! but also ngl his level up was reALLY cool!!
I think it’s fascinating how Kingpin in ITSV and Miguel in ATSV are foils for each other. Both of them lost their families and tried to cheat death by replacing them with other versions from different universes, and they both failed.
The tragic thing about Miguel is that he’s so lost in the trauma of losing his original family that he doesn’t see that in creating the Spider-Society, he’s built himself a new family. He could be the friend, uncle, brother, father, that so many of them crave, but he keeps himself closed off, making himself their General instead. Miguel keeps everyone at a distance because losing another family would break him.
miles is taller than 42-miles because of his spider bite. This is like when your younger brother have a grow spurt and now are slightly taller than you.

sometimes I randomly think about the time a girl posted in this girls only Facebook group I’m in telling everyone how she broke up with her boyfriend and he lied saying that he lost the spare key she gave him, only to then break into her apartment when she wasn’t home and steal the cat they’d adopted while they were together, but then he denied having done this and she didn’t really have proof that he took the cat since he wouldn’t let her come into his place and look for it. And then another girl saw this post and knew her ex-boyfriend, and she was like “girl. I used to hook up with your mans back in xxxx and I still have his number. If you want, I’ll hit him up and get him to invite me back to his place and see if your cat’s there.” And the OP was like “bet.”
So this woman hit up homie dog, asked him out for drinks, went home with him, slept with him, and then woke up in the middle of the night and TOOK THE CAT. Like she had only said that she would confirm if the cat was there but then she took it upon herself to steal this woman’s cat back. Like she full on Trojan horsed this man and then hit up homegirl like “I got the goods. Where you wanna meet.” And then the two of them posted a photo of them together with the cat to the group.
And I just think women supporting women is so beautiful.

Also, he somehow taught himself how to Ultrahand without having the actual Ultrahand, then taught everyone else in the clan how to do it. And then in BotW, he used Sheikah Slate runes without having any access to a Sheikah Slate. Considering how much Hyrule loves making its Super Special Tools inaccessible to anyone who wasn’t destined to be a Hero, plus he had zero access to the requisite Helpful Tutorial NPCs to help guide him through it and had to figure it out on his own using incomplete old instruction manuals that probably weren’t even written in modern Hylian, that’s extremely impressive! The guy may be silly and unmotivated for grand heroics, but he’s no dummy.
absolutely this. bc when i was watching the movie. i kept looking at miles and thinking, is this what representation feels like? bc wow he could be one of my cousins. but then i saw hobie . HOBIE!??? and i was like oh ok i get it. this is what all of you guys were talking about when you said you used to have crushes on cartoons? like if this was ten years ago? you wouldn't have heard the end of it. like my brain can not imagine a more perfect character design. hobie showed up and my third eye was opened. his physical characteristics and personality seem to have formed from my brain like venus or something. mind blown i was like OHHH

the mumbattan scene in spiderverse is like the prime example for why I love this movie. there’s a split second after the alchemax building falls where pavitr holds his head in his hands, and everyone - spiderpeople and audience alike - just stares at how devastating this is, and then there is the split second right after that where miles goes, alright, you stop the building we’ll get the people, we got this. and then it’s game time. and the entire scene there’s just so much effort. like it’s palpable who much these kids are Not. Giving. Up. from the spider webs snapping and everyone just doubling down on their efforts to save people, to pavitr literally shaking as he keeps the bus from falling, to miles having to be dug out from the rubble. idk it’s been so long since I felt like a movie made their characters struggle and the characters earned their victory in return.

This is the worst thing I've seen in my entire life
when i was post op after top surgery i had a good friend there with me to help recover. but the nurse didnt get the memo and when i woke up she was like “ok i’m gonna go get your girlfriend and bring her in to see you!” and i remember being so zonked on anesthesia and so disoriented i just laid there thinking wow…… all that an they’re bringing me a girlfriend too this place is amazing
