Here are some things I like to do to help soothe daily anxiety attacks or general anxiety, I hope this helps someone
🍼 Heat. Cuddle under a thinck blanket, make a hot bottle, draw a warm bath, use an electric heating blanket or even a little oven
🍼 Stuffies. Get your favorite 3 stuffies and cuddle them a little or just sit them down next to you
🍼 Distraction. Get your mind moving elsewhere. Play a cute game like animal crossing, stardew valley, minecraft, the Sims, anything you like! You have to force yourself to start thinking about something else
🍼 Medication. If you have meds to take when you have a crisis, train yourself to take them early enough. Have them easily accessible and visible, maybe on your bedside table
🍼 Watch a cartoon or movie. I like Hilda, She-ra, Kim Possible, Studio Ghibli movies, Gilmore Girls, etc
🍼 Get someone to help you. Ask someone in your household or call someone and ask for them to help calm you down/ soothe you. I like to hear reassuring statements like: This will blow over, It’s gonna be ok, Nothing bad will happen to you, etc If you have no one, you can do this yourself! When you are feeling well, write down some calming sentences for you to read when you break down or even record an audio for yourself
🍼 Invest in a weighted banket. They can really help you feel secure.
🍼 Long term, look for a psychiatrist and a therapist if you can. Getting on some good medication can change your life and help alot with anxiety. There is nothing shameful or harmful about it. Talk to your doctor about it!
🍼 Work out more. Your body needs to release energy and endorphins which will long term help with your anxiety attacks and hopefully make them easier.
Forcing schools to out students six weeks after learning about their sexual orientation puts LGBTQ+ youth in danger. Florida schools should be a place where kids feel supported, not scared.
This bill already required schools to inform families that their children identify as LGBTQ+ upon coming out. Outing students was not a requirement when believed that doing so might lead to abuse, neglect, or abandonment. With this amendment, there is no longer a way around it.
This bill will force children to hide who they are in fear of being outed. Our youth will be at an even greater risk of abuse, neglect, and even homelessness. This bill is dangerous for LGBTQ+ students and harmful to education.
Florida’s Don’t Say Gay amendment is not okay. Do better, Ron DeSantis.
