My piece for @bratty-doll the Malik Ishtar fashion zine~! The theme for mine is self-care. It was so fun to be included and celebrate King Malik! The lion's name is Atem.

So excited to show off my piece for the @bratty-doll Zine! 😭💕💕💕💕 It was so much fun!! I got to work with @ariasune who wrote a fic called “Echo in the Mirror” ( https://archiveofourown.org/works/43110030 ) as a companion piece with this artwork! 💕💕💕
Malik has everything he wants. Success, money, influence. He loves his life and wouldn't trade it for anything. Until suddenly the stability he has built around himself, the facade he has created begins to shatter piece by piece—from one moment to the next, all of it begins to fall apart like a house of cards.

“The goal of fashion, like any art, is to be, and my goal is to be seen. [ ] My childhood was not an easy one, I survived it. Though the situation may differ from person to person, I know a lot of people understand what it’s like to hide yourself from the rest of the world. Like how Egyptian and Japan impacted my life, so did my childhood. My sister agrees with me. She was my light then. She believed in me when nobody else did and did everything she could to help me. So Inugami is for her, and me. And everyone else who understands. So of course, my biggest project yet will be loud. Colorful in ways the dark is not.”

Here’s a little excerpt from “Every Color,” the fic that I’ve written for the upcoming @bratty-doll - a fanzine centered around Malik Ishtar and his varying fashion sensibilities! I wrote the piece in collaboration with @kokonakamelot - a snippet of her art is also featured here :D
