NEW VIDEO – A New Dizziness Experiment To Try At Home!

This episode looks at some biology of why we feel dizzy (hi there, inner ears!) and and how you can spin in three different ways to experience three distinct feelings of dizziness. Through an experiment, we explore which type of dizziness would allow you to still complete a very important task, i.e. hitting a piñata. What's the best way to hit a piñata? We uncover some scientific party skills in this very important episode.

Why are people so passive-aggressive?

Humans are complicated: a tangled web of amazing biology and bad behaviours. This illustrated field guide will equip you with the necessary tools to navigate the lying, jealous and judgmental tendencies of your fellow humans. This week we explore passive-aggressive behaviour, the act of expressing aggression indirectly.

Watch this if you want, I don’t really care...

WATCH: The Power of Curiosity... (have you seen it?)

Two groups are great at asking questions: kids and smart adults. But the average person forgets to be curious. All forms of curiosity are important – they can lead to practical ideas as well. Here's my take on the power of curiosity.

Oh, and stay curious 🤔

The Tiny Key to Ageing

Happy international day of women and girls in science! In honour of the day, take a look behind the scenes of a stop-motion animation I did on badass biologist Elizabeth Blackburn.

Blackburn was one of the researchers who discovered why our cells age and she’s the only Australian woman to have won a Nobel prize

She also voiced her character for this video!

NEW VIDEO! How to Think Like Einstein... Can you have more creative ideas?

It seems like some people have so many great ideas –  like Albert Einstein, who as well as changing everything we know about the whole of space and time, took a stab at fashion. Rest assured there are ways that the rest of us can be more creative, too. Following on from the last episode on the Neuroscience of Creativity, we explore some practical tips for boosting your creativity and generating more great ideas.
