LIVING DEAD GIRL

@boydyke / boydyke.tumblr.com

charlie, 21. it/she/he. girlfagboydyke. im both a hot schizo weirdgirl in her 20s & a 40 year old dilf history teacher.

If u want to write a story about a character that's just you but hotter with a dark twisted backstory and magical powers and a pet falcon or something, I think u should just go ahead and do that. Who's gonna stop you? The government?? Fuck the police.

What if someone barges in, points at said character and scream, “Mary Sue!”

Tell them to come back with a warrant

you can improve literally any word by adding “girl” in front of it btw. girlscared. girlnormal. girlweird. girlsilly. etc. girl can be such a beautiful focal point of anyone’s vocabulary

the trick is though you can ALSO improve literally any word by adding girl behind it. scaredgirl. normalgirl. weirdgirl. sillygirl. girl can be such a beautiful focal point of ANYONES vocabulary

if you put girl on both sides of the word its yuri

anyway I really shouldn't have bothered engaging but maybe it's the fact that two people I followed who as far as I knew were always good intentioned reblogged it that made me think it might be worth it to explain how fucked up that train of thought can be. but the utter disregard for the safety of kids because "welp, can't be helped anyway! also this is entirely normal and even comparable to puritan culture." is kind of crushing. seems like there's no nuance anymore. if it's normal for teenagers to have libido, then it must be normal for a 13 year old to be in adult spaces on social media. these things do not have to coexist...

man ignore the replies and tags on the last post i reblogged. I probably shouldn't have added onto it at all. but some of the replies really are upsetting me. the same mindsets that made me think my experiences online were normal.

I was never groomed by any specific person. I was never targeted by any adult in particular. I wasn't even targeted by anyone. I was one kid of many who was swept up in the sea of the MLP fan community online, who was groomed by the culture of it all itself. the online mlp community as an entity is what groomed me. so much was normalized. who knows how many adults got something from me before going onto the next hundred little girls. I was not groomed individually because they didn't need to. not when it was already normalized. and I'm utterly terrified that the mindsets of proshippers, no matter their intentions--intention doesn't always matter--is formulating this same online environment and experience that made it normal for me to interact with adults. and have them interact with me back.

my incredibly cancellable take is that I wrote and consumed smut/nsfw starting at like age 13 so like I don’t know why people are throwing up about minors…doing…that? I feel like that’s maybe a little young but pretty normal? like sure it’s perfectly fine for you to be like nooo dni with my content it’s not for you (there’re No Kids Allowed areas in bookstores and shit yk) so what I don’t understand is why people are advertising their age about it. because like why would you say that 💀 just sneakily consume adult material like the rest of us did because then the wrongdoing is pretty solidly on you

the way this post is worded makes me very uncomfortable. yeah teenagers being on pornhub is pretty normal. part of growth. whatever. that's pretty common knowledge. but talking about online spaces with dni's and saying it's normal for kids to lie about/purposefully not list their age, that deeply unsettles me. because if I was a parent and I found my teenage kid watching pornhub, I wouldn't really give a shit ultimately. (I'd have the same crisis every other parent has, but that's beside the point.) but if I found my teenage kid with a Twitter account, lying about their age, interacting with adults--retweeting, liking, *commenting,* I'd be upset. I'd be afraid. because that kid is actively putting themselves at risk by *engaging in communities.* that is fundamentally different than "Jesus guys, didn't everyone watch porn as a teenager?"

when I was 16 on pornhub, that was pretty standard. it was isolated. not interacting with people who could harm me.

when I was 11 on tumblr within the my little pony community, reblogging nsfw art that my "adult friends" drew, that was not normal. it wouldn't be normal even if I faked my age. it wouldn't be normal if I was 13. it wouldn't be normal if I was 16.

and this isn't to say minors are to blame for doing this. nobody should harass a damn kid, for God's sake. I don't think anyone with a brain would think that's the right course of action. but it is seriously worrying, and I hope for their sake they either disengage from the communities themselves or a well meaning parent has a talk with them. it's not normal for kids to put themselves at risk of serious grooming. lying about their age does not negate that risk, and frankly, encouraging/enabling kids to do so makes you a dangerous person as well.

I'm not sure why a post by a proshipper made its way onto my dash, (ill be fixing that.) nor do I know why I felt it was so necessary for me to reply, but maybe it's the fact that I know firsthand why engaging with nsfw content on social media and interacting with others (via reblogs or comments or whatever) is not at all comparable to the "christian purity culture trying to erase the fact that libido is part of puberty" (as I saw a reply insinuate.)

I'm sorry you thought engaging with nsfw communities and making content for nsfw communities online at 13 was normal. (encouragement to continue writing porn is grooming.) I'm sorry that I thought drawing nsfw requests from anonymous asks age 11 was normal too. it took me a long time to realize how fucked up that truly was. please don't encourage a mindset that will enable these things to repeat.

only specific people benefit from this line of thinking, and it's not the kids.

For Trans Day of Visibility, here are some brave trans men who have contributed to trans rights activism

does anyone else get significantly annoyed with the "how to Tumblr posts for twitter/reddit users! ^_^ btw tumblr peeps it's our Civic Duty to teach these poor unknowing individuals of our ways and Tumblr Culture!"

What the fuck are you peoplr even talking about. everyone who's used other websites can figure out how to use a different website. there is no etiquette or culture here. I don't think you need to treat strangers like they're children or act like we're unique and special

ok but seriously why is “much older internet friend uses you as their personal suicide hotline” such a universal experience for kids on the internet. fyi for any kids/teens following me if an adult tries to make you be their therapist just flat out block them you dont have to explain yourself or try to reason with them and ur not responsible for their mental well-being. just block them
