I don't play Magic: the Gathering but I'm obsessed with their new Lord of the Rings cards. There are TWO Lobelia cards.

I like to think that becoming disgustingly besotted when in love is a trait that skips siblings in the Durin line. So Thorin and Kili are absolutely cringeworthy with Bilbo and Tauriel (though I dare you to say that to their face) but Dis and Fili do not show it that much.

And like, imagine some poor dwarf maiden entering into courtship with Fili, the current heir of Erebor, and seeing how his relatives act with their beloveds, and then Fili is just... way lowkey. Too lowkey. He's nice and all, he's always there for her, but shouldn't he be acting embarassing? Isn't he related to Thorin 'I love Bilbo' Oakenshield? What is going on?

And then she meets his mother. And it just makes sense then

I'm currently procrastinating revision for my Inorganic and Physical chemistry final exam so...

Here's what I imagine the RTC characters to be like during exam season!

Mischa:

-Will be walking into the exam hall radiating the energy of: 'I am ready to fight God and either lose or become him'

-The type of guy to do the entire exam with only a single pen he brought in his pocket

-Once was reviewing revision materials for a literature class only to panic for a second once he saw Old English texts, thinking that he somehow just forgot English for a hot second

Noel:

-The type of person to sketch those hyperrealistic eyes on the back of the exam paper once he finished answering the questions

-Studies extra hard to try one up Ocean in their French exams

-Will ask Ocean if she's 'ready for the exam today' when there is in fact, no exam that day

Penny:

-She's weirdly okay in exam season: the type of student to rock up and get a decent grade even after only minor revision (specifically for biology)

-Is the person with insurmountable amounts of spare stationary for her friends

Ocean:

-We all KNOW that this girlie is going through it when exams come up, the true epitome of a hot mess

-You know the post about a finals student designating a time period to sob/stress about their future and get right back to studying after the timer goes off? That's Ocean.

-Is neither an early bird or a night owl, and is instead a perpetually tired pigeon

Constance:

-She would most likely try to balance her subjects accordingly whilst also making sure that everyone else is taking care of themselves

-Absolutely thrives in English exams, you know she will just dip into the repressed emotions for the grade

-The loveable girlie who will share her revision materials for those in need

Ricky:

-Is actually pretty organised with a revision schedule

-Though will sometimes get distracted by other activities (e.g., one moment it's algebra, the next it's an in depth analysis on warrior cats lore)

-Will be sending supportive cat memes to the choir groupchat

the reason Stede's arms are so strong in s2 is because he's been rowing that dinghy full of sweaty men for 13 months now

Headcanon: dwarves like to be seen as strong so they pretend to really like spicy food but really if you give them anything even remotely spicy they freak out and go all red and start coughing but hobbits on the other hand have a ridiculously high spice tolerance.

Oh and if any of the dwarves annoy Bilbo he secretly puts spice in their food

I need an AU where Izzy comes to accept Stede as captain and just like fully embraces his buffoonery with the same yelling and angry chihuaha energy that he does everything else.

Like Stede is chiding someone for not sharing during arts & crafts time and Izzy is holding them at swordpoint like “You heard the Captain! Share your sequins, dog!”

Stede forces everyone on another beach vacation and Izzy has a coconut drink in hand and inexplicably has a hawaiian shirt that’s somehow made of leather and he’s yelling at the crew that they’re not leisuring hard enough

one of the greatest things about bagginshield is the height/size difference like thorin is at least a head taller than bilbo do you know how cute that is????? he can rest his scruffy chin on top of bilbo’s fluffy wind blown hair and breathe him in and engulf him in his big bear arms like ‘no back off this is my hobbit’ and proceeds to snuggle him into his chest AHHHHHhhhh f ucK
