Maybe, this guy was crazy. 

Maybe, he would have harmed someone. 

I’m not saying we should not have laws nor am I saying that we should never disarm people.

I AM saying that the government seizing weapons without cause or without a crime being committed is a very, VERY dangerous precedent that can have disastrous consequences!  

Our Founders were very distrustful of large powerful governments.

If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no recourse left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense….” Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Papers, No. 28)

If the federal government should overpass the just bounds of its authority and make a tyrannical use of its powers, the people, whose creature it is, must appeal to the standard they have formed, and take such measures to redress the injury done to the Constitution as the exigency may suggest and prudence justify.”  Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Papers, No. 33

I share their distrust, for good reasons! 

1929: The Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929-1953, 20 million dissidents rounded up and murdered.

1911: Turkey established gun control. From 1915-1917, 1.5 million Christian Armenians rounded up and exterminated.

1938: Germany established gun control. From 1939-1945, 13 million Jews and others rounded up and exterminated.

1935: China established gun control. From 1948-1952, 20 million political dissidents rounded up and exterminated.

1964: Guatemala established gun control. From 1981-1984, 100,000 Mayan Indians rounded up and exterminated.

1970: Uganda established gun control. From 1971-1979, 300,000 Christians rounded up and exterminated.

1956: Cambodia established gun control. From 1975-1977, 1 million educated people rounded up and exterminated.

In the 20th Century more than 56 million defenseless people were rounded up and exterminated by people using gun control.

So, I am concerned about the word, “legal” being thrown around in regards to the gun laws and restrictions debate going on in our country. I’m told that whatever the Government agency, whether it be federal, state or city writes into, “law”, I must obey. That it is, their “Right”. 

Does a Governing body have, “Rights”? 

Everyone with a journalism degree seems to be writing and talking about; “Governments Duty to Protect”, “Rights of the State”, “antiquated Second Amendment”, “Red Flags” and “indicators of illegal intent” but not about; due process, individual’s Right to self preservation i.e. self defense or the Rights of the Individual in general. 

To answer my own question, I say, no. Governments, have no Rights. Duties, yes. Obligations, yes. Authority, yes. As long as it is through the consent of the governed and not a violation of our, Rights. Than they have lots of powers but not Rights. 

There are also NO collective Rights! Only Individual! 

Now, their are collective laws, like anti-discrimination but, laws are not Rights! Laws tell you what is prohibited. Rights are what you can not be denied. Some examples would be, “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” or “ the right of the people to keep and bear Arms”. Laws are given by men. Rights are given by God and therefore can not be taken away by men nor governments, only infringed!  

Remember it was illegal for the Colonies to rebel against the King and they signed their death warrant on the Declaration of Independence in 1776 if they lost.

It was also illegal to aid fleeing slaves via the underground railroad as well.

Laws made by men are always inherently lawful but, not inherently right.

Tyrants always claim that, they are in the right. National Socialist party (NAZI) in Germany under Hitler, lawfully rounded up the Jews and exterminated them. The NAZI party passed the laws so they were, lawful. Evil but lawful.

Most governments believe that power comes from governmental authority, they have the power so they make the laws. We must obey. No questions asked. 

“We the people” believe, that WE are the source of their power! That they MUST OBEY our will. 

Ask yourself honestly, do you believe that our government does?

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal (power is only through consent of the governed because we are equal), that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights (unalienable: adjective: not transferable to another or not capable of being taken away or denied; inalienable : Inherent in the U.S. Constitution is the belief that all people are born with an unalienable right to freedom.), that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

I’m not saying, “We march tomorrow!” 

I want everyone that reads this to know that, I want Law and Order according to the U.S. Constitution! I am also NOT advocating VIOLENCE against any institution or person! I AM making a case that ALL AMERICANS should have deep CONCERN regarding the erosion of our RIGHTS! 

Just so the censorship overlords and any crazies reading this are clear. You are responsible for your OWN ACTIONS and any acts of terrorism, are COWARDLY and IMMORAL! In other words, obey the Constitution, respect others Rights and do to others as you would have them do to you, capeesh? 

I see Social Media sites as our modern day Federalist Papers or town squares. 

So in a sense, consider me your Paul Revere. 

I am saying, “The tyrants are coming!” and am calling you to action.  

Learn the Constitution, research you officials and your laws, vote, attend town halls, write or call your elected officials, run for office, carry a means to defend yourself and your loved ones everywhere you can, “legally” do so and push to expand that ability into places you currently cannot, through legislative means like, “Constitutional carry”. 

The timeline of the Revolution was long  and our Founders were patient. 

So, we must also be patient. We must exhaust ALL LEGAL and LEGISLATIVE means to PROTECT our Nation’s Constitution from those who seek to destroy it!

I am also saying that, “IF” the day ever comes where we, “march”. On that day we will have also signed our death warrant, if we lose.  

I never want to see that day and will try to prevent it with all my powers however, if that day comes, I would rather die a free man than live as a slave.

I also want to preserve these, “unalienable Rights” that I hold so dear, for my children and as a lasting refuge for all mankind yearning for Freedom.

I will fight for their future Freedom as well.

This post, expressing my opinions and exercising my First Amendment Right, might get me banned form this medium, and you as well, if you re-post this. 

It will not stop me from speaking out in defense of Freedom and America. My hope is that you speak out and use your powers in defense of Freedom as well, regardless of what nation you may be reading this in. Freedom is for everyone. Those that want it, must be willing to fight for to achieve it than keep it. For, “we cannot escape history” because we are making it.
