There's a user called Erika Horn (@erikahorn.art) on tiktok who made a "duet me" challenge so technically impressive that all of the duets are exactly like this LMAO

when your art program’s closing message hits you straight in the heart and makes you stop and contemplate the state of it all

because of the huge response to this post, I decided to make a version of the art that includes the text

Tumblr is weird because sometimes you go to a mutual's page and like/reblog half their content like you just broke in their house and imediately ate a little piece of all their food, tried out some of their clothes, sat on their sofa, and then just left.

And sometimes the mutual notices and does the same to your house.

And that's encouraged here. I love it.

scent of the day: cow (zoologist)

there's a drink here called santal plus that i used to love as a kid, which is fruit juice mixed with milk. my favourite was the apple flavour. zoologist's cow smells exactly like it: mostly apple, with a slight milkiness to it. it smells fresh and a little generic, like a shampoo or shower gel. there's not much to it that reminds me of pastures or animals; i get a touch of herbal bittersweetness that reminds me of chamomile, and that's about it. i wish i got any of the florals, especially the violet, or the sage, or even just more milk and a little less synthetic apple.

cow is very soft, gentle, nostalgic, and the most wearable zoologist scent out of the three i've sampled, but also by far the least imaginative one. it's also short-lived on my skin, unfortunately. i think it would be a safe blind buy, and it's unlikely to offend. i can see myself reaching for it in spring or summer days when i want something uncomplicated and unobtrusive.

gender and sexuality is a fickle thing. sometimes two gay cisgender men will be dating for decades and one of them will turn out to be a transgender woman. a lot of times that won't work out but sometimes it will. her partner may still choose to identify as gay. She might even identify as gay, and they continue to be happily in love. Queer politics isn't going to get any better if you don't accept that situations like that happen every day.
