If trans people had existed more publicly in the early 20th century HP Lovecraft would for sure have written a story with one as the antagonist
And on the one hand, thank God I'll never have to read HPL describing a trans person, but on the other hand can you IMAGINE what a fave they'd be on modern Tumblr

Deeply honored to have been tasked with illustrating the cover for @ff9zine charity zine! This game is wildly important to myself and so many others, and to draw the whole squad for such a special project was totally surreal! I was in the midst of some really heavy stuff while making this piece, but it helped to pour myself into something so intensely.

I’ve been reading the medieval horror novel “Between Two Fires” by Christopher Buehlman and this description stuck with me:
