My mom asked how the cat was so I sent her a photo and if this doesn't tell you what kind of a person I am I don't know what will.
You don’t really realize how much shit you own until you have to pack it all in just seven days.
Why do we have so many candles?????
What is your favorite thing (or things, since I assume the list is VERY extensive) about your girlfriend?
That you’re understanding (most of the time) and sensitive of my social anxieties. Of course we both wish they weren’t there, but it’s easier being with someone I can be open with about what scares me, and not have it used against me in arguments or to get your way by guilt trippin’ me (which sounds like a weird thing to even think people would do, but you know there are people in my life who do).
I like that you enjoy marathoning TV shows together, because no way could I not skip ahead if you only wanted to watch one episode a night.
I like how organized you are, because my brain is a complete mess. And that you remember the things I forget.
I like that you’re frugal, because saving for an early retirement is important to me (and seems to be rubbing off on you too).
I like that you like a band so much that your username is a song lyric, what part-time lyricist wouldn’t adore that about someone else?
I like that you support me in all my crazy random projects, and don’t mind when there are dirty paint brushes in the sink one week, and coin collecting books all over the coffee table the next.
I like your photography. And how you’re always funnier than me. And how you think it’s cute when I’m the only one laughing at my own jokes.
I like that you share your time with me, and let me share mine with you. And I like that we are okay spending time apart too.
These are a few of my favorite things.
Reblogging because I just like my boyfriend a lot, okay?
for some reason one of the light switches in alan and kristen’s house controls the power to the router and i cannot tell you how immediate and overpowering and visceral my grief was yesterday when i accidentally flipped it off instead of the stairway light. just “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NO NOOOO” screaming through my head forever until it reset itself
#they even have them labeled with little label stickers so i had NO excuse
It’s true. No excuses.
This is the dumbest switch I have ever seen.
The worst part is that there are TWO of these switches in the house.
Had a great day today at Garden City Brewfest.
Not pictured: Stefan, because he was getting food. Also I think the dog ate Michael's head.
The Albertsons in Missoula did this with their outdoor stock of Coke, Coke Zero, and Diet Dr. Pepper.
Bless whoever had the patience to put this together.
What does the fox say? Here's your answer.
So today I went over to meet Alan Lastufka for the first time in my life.
In addition to (completely coincidentally) wearing the same shirt upon our meeting, it is legit weird that I have been working with this guy day in and day out for five years and we have never met each other.
For those of you who don’t know, Alan is a YouTuber from way back in the day. We collab’d on a few videos back in 2007. One day, he told me he was thinking of launching a record label for YouTubers. I had just sold a hundred copies of a CD I threw together at Terminus in Chicago and had been shocked at how many people were interested in owning my music.
So I proposed we partner together. That partnership became DFTBA Records (which has since added John Green as a part owner. ) We ship out thousands of items per month and have paid out millions of dollars to YouTube creators large and small over the years.
I’m really proud of what Alan and I built over the last five years and it’s wonderful to have him (and Kristen) here in Missoula after so many years of having a remote relationship! So Cool!
"You guys are stupid." -my response to the whole Alan/Hank wearing the same shirt thing.
this picture needs to be on its own imo
so hap
Can it be LeakyCon again please?
Time is a really funny thing sometimes.
The picture on the left was taken in Seattle in October of 2008 during John's Paper Towns tour. I was living by myself in a small apartment in Portland, working a job I hated and very overweight.
The picture on the right was taken at LeakyCon in August of 2012. My life now is SO different from what I could have imagined back in 2008. Not only am I now WORKING FOR Hank and John, but I have lost 70lbs and have some of the greatest friends from all over the world.
It just goes to show that life can change so drastically from the idea you have in your head, that there are so many possibilities out there that you don't even know exist. I can't wait to see where I am 4 years from now. =)
One of my favorite quotes from Christopher ever.
Christopher is perfection.
Artist Yayoi Kusama is a master when it comes to bringing out a childlike wonderment in audiences, leaving them slack-jawed as they take in their enchanting surroundings. The Japanese visionary has a distinct style that doesn’t go unnoticed, especially in recent years, with the employment of polka dots, mirrors, water, and an array of LED light fixtures. There’s a surge of jubilation that emanates from her multihued installation works and this piece titled Fireflies on the Water is no exception.
So this is now something that exists.
