the light mode vs dark mode + text colours situation on artfight is so dire. every day i see profiles with the lightest gray or white text on white. a cruel world for people who use light mode
#im sure it looks good in the dark mode. but ive been using light mode since the beginning because when i started in 2016#there wasnt even a dark mode option and now im too used to it so i will live in lightmode forever#but then theres the opposite. i gotta be careful about using and really dark grays cause theyre probably nearly invisible on dark mode#i was trying to figure out a way to make it easy to see which ocs have like romantic ships in their profiles#but i was like. using any text colour changes is too scary. too scary#so i settled on a little asterisk

like a lot of people with a bajillion OCs i do partake in a bit of voiceclaiming myself, but one thing I’ve always found interesting about voice claims is what format people tend to have them in, like most people I see have voice claims as like a bit of voice acting from a show or movie, while some people just have a list of actors, and on very rare occasions I’ll see voiceclaims that are singers, or sometimes a combo of multiple formats
im part of those very rare occasions btw my voiceclaims are exclusively music HKJDHJFDKS i couldn’t tell you any faceclaims. I dont know who any OCs would be played by in a live action movie. I couldn’t even tell you what their voices sound like when speaking. but i CAN tell you what they would sound like singing a thematically appropriate character image song LOL
and that is part of the reason im so so so into covers like. you acting-audio-based voiceclaimers will never know the euphoria of finding the perfect vocaloid song to fit an OC AND then finding the perfect cover of that song by an utaite who has a voice that fits how you imagine the OC’s voice......... i may not know how my ocs would talk but my imaginary amv game is INSANE

#art#traditional art#pencil#oc art#ocs#oc group: unsorted#oc: unnamed#ive drawn her a few times now i think. shes from a dream i had once#ALSO i had a mild art drought for a bit there because ive been so bothered by my busted scanner#im borrowing a new one from my family and currently testing how it works#hopefully it works okay for now. it seems a little crisper which makes sense because it is over a decade newer than my old one LOL#i cant get it to work with picasa but i dont think its the fact that its a new scanner (i also tried an even older scanner)#(that a family member had around and that also didnt work with picasa so i think its some installation driver nonsense)#so ive been using the built in scanning software to scan to a folder that picasa reads and THEN i can go in and crop all the pics#my art scanning process is absurd and convoluted sorry#WHAT you need to know is my scanned images may look a little different for the next little bit as i get used to new technology
