Clean House Powder

Intent: To cleanse a dwelling of negativity, “heaviness,” stale energy, bad atmosphere, etc.

Note: Powdered versions of most herbs are available online. I recommend such sites as Starwest Botanicals and Penn Herbs for the quality products at reasonable prices. Also, if you can get your hands on a good spice grinder, you can make your own powder from dried herb products. Grind each ingredient separately to produce fine powder. Sieve the material through the mesh strainer into the collection dish; this removes the larger unground pieces and gives you cleaner powdered herb. (Pro-Tip: Putting a funnel under the mesh strainer reduces lost material and makes collection much easier.) Combine the component powders in the collection dish, mix well, and bottle immediately. For volume, go heavier on the less expensive or more easily available materials like Lemon Peel, Cayenne, and Salt. Otherwise, combine in more or less even amounts. Sprinkle a pinch in the corner of each room to dispel heaviness and clear the air, so to speak. Useful for spring cleaning and touch-up jobs throughout the year. Add to floor washes, incenses, or charms for general cleansing and purification of the home.

Here’s my recipe for my sun water cleansing spray! First spray I’ve ever made. Even added some protection to it because damn, I need it.

First I used the element of air to cleanse the spray bottle. Opened my window to the cold night, and let the air do it’s thing.

Next I set the bottle on the selenite slab while I got ready, to make sure it stayed cleansed and charged.

Ingredients:

To give it that extra charge I held it and pictured myself standing in the sun and squinting at how bright it is. It was hard to do with my mental state.

And there you go! I’ve been so down and some personal things have made my mental health even worse, so you can bet I sprayed myself down with this! It’s heavenly. 😇

PS: maybe I’ll make one for my mom! That way she can have that same cleanse and protection herself, with her thinking it’s only a linen spray or something lol.

Witchcraft Aesthetics: Blue

Cat protection spell

cause i couldn't find a good one that wasn't wiccan in origin or used ingredients accessible to me :)

You need:

1. Place the salt and rosemary in your mortar/cup and speak your intentions into them

-> i like to get close and whisper, but you can also just hold your hand above and say it

-> you can also just think it

2. Put a small amount of hot water in a dish or cup to the side and bless it the same way

3. Pour the water into the mortar/cup with the rosemary and salt

4. Grind/steep until the water has been infused (it'll be slightly yellow-ish) while you keep repeating your intention either in thought or in speech

5. Dip your finger in the water (it should be cooled down by now, be careful not to burn yourself!) and put it on your cats forehead.

-> Make sure it doesn't get in their eyes

-> Only use a small amount, rosemary is safe for cats and the amount of salt used should be small enough not to make a difference, but you must be vigilant when putting anything on your cat. I wouldn't recommend offering the mixture as a drink to them.

6. Say a little prayer for the cats protection & blessing. This can be anything that feels right, but here is my version:

"Mother Earth, of grace and light. Protect this kitten with your might. May he be gentle, happy and kind, and safe and sound to ease my mind."

To close off, if all ingredients i've used are at least biodegradable if not good for the soil, I stand outside barefoot, thank the great mother and say "Now that the spell is complete, I return your gift to you" and scatter the remains in the grass.

Whisper incantation to them to charge them with your intent

Sleep with one under your pillow to enhance dreams and keep away nightmares
