Kind of obsessed with the tumblr Twitter account
will never get tired of the running gag of Adrien knowing completely random / obscure / generally useless things that end up being exactly what they need against an Akuma
Another perfect example of how @buggachat knows these characters so damn well.
HOW COULD I FORGET
during an interview, game freak was asked if pokemon are sentient and this was their answer
fuck man aren’t we all
everytime I hear about children of the corn I think about the guy I met at comic con who actually lived in the town they filmed that movie at, and on the farm where they filmed in the corn. he was a teenager at the time and him and his friends would get drunk on moonshine and rustle the corn and let the air out of the tires of the production team’s trailers and shit. and now there’s Wikipedia pages about how the children of the corn set was haunted and they thought they angered god but it was really just drunk hillbillies
I don’t like adding to posts but I also have a funny story like this, so I was watching the movie the Blair witch which takes place in burkettsville maryland, which to me is so funny because that is were my grandfather lives and the town is literally just old people and cows with their main street consisting of a post office. Well anyway he told me that after it came out people were coming in like bus loads to the town to find the witch and my grandfather lives up in the Mountain area and people were up in his property trying to find the witch and it made him angry so he went out and hung up stick people and stacked rocks and it freaked the people out so they started thinking something was out there when really it was my 80 year old Italian grandpa who wanted people out of his woods.
We had ghost hunters come to a historic house in my town to film and if you think every high school kid in town respectfully stayed at home that night instead of going to fuck up that filming you’re dead wrong.
this is comforting, actually, sometimes paranormal things are just a bunch of bored people dicking around in the woods.
New favorite cryptid: locals
Does anyone have any spare vials of estradiol valerate they could donate to me? I was screwed over by my work's new "insurnace" plan which isn't even actually an insurance plan but a minimal coverage supplemental plan that doesn't cover my HRT or medications or endocrinologist and i recently had to go off my estrogen for like 3 weeks because I can't afford the ridiculous price of injectable estradiol. I still dont know how im going to get more once i run out of this current vial. If anyone with access to it could spare some until I get my name change sorted out and get on medicaid I could really use the help.
If anyone can or wants to donate a couple bucks to help me afford the ~$100 price tag of a vial, I would also ve extremely grateful. Here's my money app links:

Please reblog this if you're seeing it. I'm desperate.
by talos this can’t be happening is a mandela effect because the actual phrase is by the gods this can’t be happening and i’ve never heard anyone say the former in game
by talos this can’t be happening
the phrase by talos this can’t be happening is actually from a rupaul roleplay blog who left their husband in a cage with no food and water for a few weeks and the husband died sorry to be the spoil sport but it does have an origin and it is a very tumblr origin in nature
Here’s the post they’re referring to for context
Oh. Skyrim husband.
HBO Max: so basically we're going to erase most of our shows as a tax dodge in a week and you can't stop us
A Youtuber who makes two hour long & strangely ominous video essays about Lost Media: it'll all be on Archive dot org by the end of the week you son of a bitch. Also the forbidden original pilot of Caillou and the French dub of the long sought after August 27th, 2001 Spongebob bumpers
Lost Media Indiana Jones swiping the last copy of Batgirl from the CEO of Discovery and shouting "it BELONGS on Archive dot org and sketchy torrent sites!"
This is all fine from a consumer perspective but it utterly screws creators.
Did you know that if a company writes off your show or movie, you don't get residuals from it anymore?
If I were a creator, I'd rather my stuff be pirated than become lost media and cease to exist entirely. Just throwing that out there.
sometimes i think about the night destiel went canon and how everyone on the internet, whether they were in the fandom or not, just went down the line shaking hands like good game good game. that's the closest we'll ever get to world peace

I love kids they’re all like.. “when i grow up i’m gonna be an astronaut and a chef and a doctor and an olympic swimmer” like that self confidence! That drive! That optimism! Where does it go
It gets destroyed by adults not believing in you and telling you to pick a realistic career. And by society creating all these obstacles to the point that you’re too tired to try.
But they’re not really unrealistic, SOMEBODY is going to be an olympic swimmer and it might as well be you.
Actually I want to talk about this a little more than I did, because olympic swimming is incredible and works perfectly to talk about attaining goals.
I used to be a varsity swimmer, and I was damn good, but I was forced into it by my parents and completely lost my love for it and therein my drive. But in high school I was swimming against such talented swimmers like Olympic Swimmer Missy Franklin. I’ve met her, and the main difference between her and me was that I was strong but had no passion, but she was strong BECAUSE she had passion.
And I could have been good, really good, maybe even Olympic good. I even have the predisposition for it, been swimming since I was 2 years old, have a mom who was almost an olympic swimmer. Missy didn’t have either of those things, she just wanted it, loved it, had been doing it for a long time, and decided she was going to kick ass at it.
Right, that’s great and all, but I completely missed my opportunity to be an olympic swimmer, yeah? and can never achieve those dreams I had as a kid? No, not even though. There was this whole thought that female athletes peak when they’re 17 years old and lose their skills quickly after that, and male athletes peak around 19. But then Olympic Swimmer Dara Torres shows up. She was an olympic swimmer when she was 17, 21 and 25. Pretty normal age for retirement. She had a few kids. She kicked butt at being a mom.
And then at 33 years old she decides she’s bored or something gets back in shape and kicks so much ass at the trials that she lands herself on the Olympic Team ONCE AGAIN. And then 8 years later, she decides, heck I’m 41 now, no one has ever made the olympic swim team as old as I am, I want to get in shape yet again and teach these children how sports work.
And she still has the record for oldest US Olympic Swimmer, not even any men have beat out that record.
So basically what I’m saying is you could be an olympic swimmer, you really could be. And there are obviously a lot of things stopping you and trying to get in your way: your brain, society, too much chocolate cake for example. But if you really dedicate yourself to it and love it with all of your heart you could, you really could.
And lets say olympic swimming isn’t your jam? That’s cool too. There isn’t a single skill in this world that you can’t learn if you absolutely love it and want to. Any skill you want is going to take time. There are countless famous people who started learning a skill after 20, 30, 40, or even 50. Not a single person has even been president under age 35 (most likely because you’re not allowed to be, but there’s a reason for that). Whatever you want to do you’re probably going to be bad at first, and I’m talking really shitty.
Van Gogh got started in his 20′s and was thought to have no artistic talent at first and was forced to sit in the back of classrooms where the worst artists in the class sat. So yeah you’ll probably be bad, like really bad and everyone including you will think you’re bad. If you stick with it though, if you’re willing to work for years and years, if you keep loving it after all the pain it’s given you,
then you might just paint Starry Night.
#looks like there’s still time for me to learn how to draw … YES. As someone who started drawing at 35 and who always was like: ‘eh, I can’t draw a stick figure to save my life, but I would love to be able to’ this is near and dear to my heart. If you want to draw, start drawing. Keep drawing. Be shit at drawing at first. Keep it up, doodle things on scraps but also draw stuff you don’t think you can draw. Challenge yourself, you will be surprised what you can do. It will be frustrating at times, but it will also be awesome. It is SO much a matter of practice and dedication, not talent.
This applies for writing, too.
Don’t ever think for a second that it doesn’t! Want to start writing? Then write! You will get better the more you write, the more often, and you will improve, all of the time, as long as you dedicate yourself.
And don’t forget music.
My dad is in his late 50′s, decided he wanted to learn guitar, and is going for it. He’s learning finger picking style. He sounds good, even though he has no natural musical talent and no training. (He says he doesn’t sound good, but we’re working on that little self-esteem issue.)
Meanwhile, me? I have a lifetime of musical training, excellent ear, and I’m just learning basic chords on guitar. Been self-teaching longer than he has, and technically speaking dad’s waaaay better.
y’all need to know what happened in the spanish masterchef last night
okay so we’ve got sweet little laura here
laura is 8 years old. even though she’d been constantly ignored and undervalued by some of the other contestants because of her age, she was definitely one of the best. everyone thought she’d definitely get to the final.
last night was the semifinal.
she wasn’t doing too badly until the last test, which was so hard that it had only ever been done in the grown-up masterchef. the contestants had to follow the instructions of a professional chef who cooked at the same time they did. it was not a test in which you could afford to waste time or get distracted.
and laura, poor, sweet, tiny laurita, whose pots and pans were almost as big as she was, got burnt.
she tried so, so hard to carry on with the test. she knew that having the burn treated would take up too much valuable time, so she kept cooking. but she couldn’t. the burn was bad, she was fighting back tears, and even the judges were starting to get worried. she had to go.
at this point, spain began to cry.
everyone thought it was game over for her. she’d be too far behind when she came back. there was no way she’d be able to make up for lost time.
BUT THEN
SWEET CINNAMON ROLL LUKAS SWOOPED IN AND COOKED IN HER PLACE AND TOOK CARE OF HER DISH AND INGREDIENTS WHILE HE WAS COOKING HIS OWN THING
THIS WAS THE SEMIFINAL AND HE WAS PUTTING HIS PLACE IN THE FINAL AT RISK SO HE COULD HELP HIS FRIEND
HERE YOU CAN PRACTICALLY SEE THE JUDGES AND THE CHEF ASKING THEMSELVES IF THIS IS REAL LIFE
SPAIN WAS BAWLING
and then laurita came back with a heavily bandaged hand. she tried to continue, but it was too much for her since she was basically cooking with one hand.
AND LUKAS KEPT HELPING HER
in the end, laura had to leave for good. she just couldn’t cook. she tried, though, and she was asked if she wanted to leave twice before she said yes.
and so our princess left.
thankfully, at least something good happened. lukas made it to the final, and most of spain is rooting for him.
these kids are angels, guys, and i’m crying. i’m crying so much.
