Entering with a shattered disposition. Broken and beaten, done. Anger, frustration, fury overwhelm the body but at the same time, the soul is defeated. Sitting on the chilled floor, shoulders sinking more and more. Reaching for the things that will prevent injuries from progressing. Pulling on shoes, pressing play... Hours later, leaving. Changed heart and mind, tall, strong, resilient. Ready to fight the next day.

Anticipation flooding your veins. Behind the stage antsy, warming up trying to maintain energy for the moment. Images of yourself up on the platform holding the trophy or crystal with the sash draped across your solo dress. Walking up the steps as the others walk off. Stepping forward with your heart beating hard and fast in your chest, looking into the judges faces. You close your eyes, feeling the music and launch yourself into the dance. Strong. Graceful. Powerful.

It is not ok to destroy a life. Whether young or old it is never ok and never will be so stop trying to say it is. Killing babies, killing our elders, murder is on the hands of those who "terminate" these precious lives. We have so much to learn and so much to gain from them and it is just pure sadness in my heart when I see people just want to take it away.

It's hard to get up off the floor once you've done your full step, it's hard picking yourself up after you've fallen. Your motivation cannot come from others because it comes from you and you alone. Don't depend on other people to make your steps better, count on yourself. Only you have power to do so, only you can attain the greatness you were destined for.

Walking into the studio with a heavy heart, it's been a long day and wanting rest and to be left alone. Pulling the socks on wondering "why am I here. Is it even worth it anymore." Putting on the shoes realizing how uncomfortable they are, just wanting the class to be over. As the music starts the muscles start tensing and suddenly the feelings vanish as the dance controls you, flows through you.

Love is such a precious thing and believe it or not it is so easily taken for granted. The moment you look for, wish for. Work yourself till your feet bleed and worse. It’s the feeling of gliding across the floor with effortless movement. Soaring past everyone else into your own world. It’s that state of mind you enter when you preform your steps in front of the judges, yet it’s as if they aren’t there. We work and cry, bleed and sweat and suffer injuries for this one thing.
