so yeah that fire in Lahaina, Maui? That was what indigenous activists were trying to prevent. That is why Land Back movements wants indigenous people to be the stewards of the land that was once theirs. Not kick out white people and settlers. what i want to say: fandomification of twitch streamers is a highway to hell. making a ‘fandom’ for a specific person or group can easily be a slippery slope to idolization and the intense parasocial relationships you see in young teenagers obsessed with people like dream. being a fandom and being a community are two extremely separate things. a community is not centered around one person, but it’s a group they have cultivated that can support each other.
