OKAY SO the best wishes anime gives us multiple aspects to it's version of the legend of the heroes. the first time we see the heroes is in the victini movie, where both brothers (twins) are shown:

this story is almost exactly the same as it in the games (minus the "dragon force" and victini lore). where the modern equivalent of these heroes was N in the games, we have damon in this movie.

the second version appears in the N arc, and only depicts a singular hero of truth. this is not the origin story, but rather how heroes were chosen afterwards. this hero of truth is meant to look like N:

I don't necessarily know what all this means, but it's neat that they made the original heroes what I assume to be indigenous unovans? If we ever got a legends game set in unova I think the anime would already have a lot of good content for them to use.
